The GAC Trumpchi teased an upcoming off-road sport utility vehicle, which will debut at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, going to take place from April 24 to May 3. It is going to come with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and double-motor all-wheel drive option.
In the Chinese market, it will compete with the rugged SUVs from GMW and BYD. The codename of GAC Trumpchi’s off-road SUV is T75; the manufacturer has teased it by sharing an image on its Weibo account. Here, we have discussed what we know so far.
What does the image reveal?
The image that the GAC Trumpchi has teased officially reveals many things about its exterior. These details are as follows:
- It gets a square and upright body design, which improves cabin space, road presence and off-road proportions.
- The front fascia has a closed-off grill to give it an electric vehicle look, which also reduces drag and ensures better aerodynamics.
- Features three vertical stacked LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that result in giving a distinct light signature and enhancing visibility and brand identity.
- Its wheel arches are flared, which makes it capable of fitting large tyres and protects its body from debris.
- The tyres added with it are chunky off-road, which provides better grip on mud, snow, and rocks and also provides better stability in rough terrain.
- Under the door, it gets side steps, which we also call running boards. It helps in easier entry and exit because it has high ground clearance and protects the lower body panel.
- The side door gets flush-type mechanical handles; it provides better durability for off-road use and makes the risk of failure in extreme conditions also very low.
- The LiDAR is mounted with the roof, which is a part of the advanced ADAS system. It enables better object detection and provides semi-autonomous driving.
- It features a rear-mounted spare wheel that can be used during punctures and a side-opening tailgate which provides easier access in tight vertical spaces.
- The taillamps are vertical, which improves visibility in bad weather and rugged SUV styling.
- The exhaust is hidden under the rear bumper, which provides a cleaner look and gives protection from off-road damage.
- The rear bumper is thick, which protects the rear during off-road impacts and also improves durability.

Features
The interior is likely to feature a clean and minimal dashboard layout, which uses soft-touch materials, leather upholstery and metallic accents. It is set to get a large infotainment system that includes features such as navigation with connected car tech, a voice assistant and OTA updates; and a digital instrument cluster that shows speed, battery status, range and off-road data.
It is certain to get an Advanced Driver Assistance Interface, which includes real-time 3D driving visualisation with lane assist, adaptive cruise, and auto parking features. It features a seating capacity of five people in a layout of 2-3; all seats are going to be ventilated and heated with a massage function. It also gets ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof as the premium features.
Specification
It is expected to get a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with a double-motor all-wheel drive configuration, which may generate power of more than 450 hp. It features single-speed automatic transmission and is all set to get a medium-to-large battery pack, which has a range of 50-150 km all-electric range. It gets a digital chassis, which includes steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire.
The acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h may be around 5 seconds, and top speed is anticipated to be above 200 km/h.
