The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric is a luxury all-electric sedan that was unveiled in India in February 2026. Bookings for the vehicle commenced on March 10, 2026, and its official launch is scheduled for April 2026.
It is set to be introduced in the market in two variants: the 200 and the 250+. Both variants of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric are based on an 800-volt platform and utilise Mercedes’ Modular Architecture (MMA).
The ex-showroom price of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric 200 variant is expected to be approximately ₹55 lakh, while the ex-showroom price of the 250+ variant is expected to be around ₹59 lakh.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric comes in two variants: the 200 variant, equipped with a 58 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, and the 250+ variant, featuring an 85 kWh NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery. These offer a WLTP range of 542 km and 792 km, respectively.
It will support both DC and AC charging, with an expected maximum capacity of 11 kW and 240–320 kW. The DC charger can charge the 58 kWh LFP battery from 10% to 80% in 20 to 22 minutes and the 85 kWh NMC battery from 10% to 80% in just 28 to 30 minutes; with an AC charger, a full charge from 0% to 100% will take 6 to 8 hours.

It is also worth noting that both variants feature a dual permanent magnet synchronous motor all-wheel-drive configuration with two-speed automatic. The standard-range variant generates 224 hp of power and 335 Nm of torque, while the long-range variant produces 272 hp of power and 335 Nm of torque.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric’s 58 kWh LFP model boasts an acceleration time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h; the 85 kWh NMC model accelerates in just 6.7 seconds, though its top speed remains 210 km/h. It comes with comfort, eco, sport and individual driving modes.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric is a coupe-style sedan featuring a sleek and flowing roofline; its fastback silhouette lends it a sporty and premium aesthetic, while its low-slung stance creates a dynamic presence.
The front grille panel is closed, befitting an EV design, and incorporates 142 illuminated star elements. The LED headlights are connected by a light bar, which also features a glowing Mercedes logo flanked by star-shaped DRLs.
Frameless doors enhance the premium feel, while flush door handles contribute to improved aerodynamics; the vehicle rides on 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, a light bar spans the width of the vehicle, featuring star-themed taillamps, and the bumper design is clean and minimalist.

It features a ground clearance of between 130 and 140 mm, allowing it to easily navigate through the speed breakers. It has a seating capacity of five people and offers a boot space of 405 litres, capable of easily accommodating 3-4 large pieces of luggage, along with a 100-litre frunk, where you can store cables.
