The MG iM6 is an upcoming all-electric luxury crossover scheduled to launch in India in August 2026. Ahead of its launch, many details regarding this EV have begun to surface. It won’t be assembled in India; instead, it will be imported as a Completely Built Unit.
Advance bookings for the vehicle are expected to commence one month prior to the launch in July 2026. Since the vehicle is being imported as a CBU, it will be subject to import duties; its ex-showroom price is estimated to range between ₹60 lakh and ₹70 lakh.

Powerstain & Performance
The MG iM6 comes with both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations; the RWD stand produces 401 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, and the AWD live stream one produces 741 bhp and 802 Nm of torque.
The acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h for the rear-wheel drive configuration is 5.4 seconds, while that of the all-wheel drive configuration is only 3.5 seconds; the top speed is 235 km/h for the RWD configuration and 240 km/h for the AWD configuration.
The transmission of both the RWD and AWD configurations of the MG iM6 is single-speed automatic, which provides a smooth driving experience in both city and highway driving conditions without any noise.
Battery, Range & Charging
The MG iM6 comes equipped with a single battery pack, which is a 100 kW lithium-ion NMC unit. Its 800-volt electrical architecture delivers not only an extended driving range but also enhanced performance.
On a full charge, the RWD configuration boasts a WLTP range of 625 km, while the AWD configuration offers a range of 505 km. In India, the real-world driving range for both the RWD and AWD variants may fall between 400 and 450 kilometres.
Since it is based on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the vehicle supports DC fast charging at a maximum rate of 396 kW, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. It also supports AC charging up to 11 kW, which takes 7-8 hours to achieve a full charge.
Dimensions & Space
The MG iM6’s length of 4,904 mm positions it as a large SUV, while its width of 1,988 mm lends it a bold and commanding road presence. A height of 1,669 mm ensures ample headroom for all occupants, and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm enhances high-speed stability while simultaneously providing superior legroom for rear-seat passengers.
To suit Indian road conditions, its ground clearance has been increased compared to the global model, ranging between 161 mm and 166 mm, so it can easily negotiate potholes and speed breakers. It features a 5-seater configuration with a boot space of 665 litres, which expands to 1,640 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

The exterior of the MG iM6 features a coupe-style SUV design, lending it a sporty aesthetic. It is equipped with full LED headlights, LED DRLs, and connected LED tail lights; the flush door handles not only enhance aerodynamics but also contribute to a premium feel. A panoramic glass roof and frameless doors further accentuate its luxurious appeal.
The interior is highly tech-focused and minimalistic, featuring almost no physical buttons.
