The Chinese automaker Xiaomi Auto has released a new image of the upcoming Xiaomi YU7 GT with the ‘Crimson Red’ body colour on its Weibo account on Friday. In the image, the car is looks quite attractive and eye-catching from all sides with a new colour option. With the unveiling of the new colour option, the automobile maker has indicated that they will introduce it in multiple colour options.
Its front fascia is aggressive with the sports bumper matte-black lower mesh grid, high-gloss black wheel arch trim, and sharp and integrated LED headlights; in profile, it features a sloping ‘water drop’ roofline, sport-styled multi-spoke alloy wheels and flush-type door handles; and the rear gets a full-width active light bar, track-tuned diffuser, and pronounced roof-mounted spoiler lip.
On April 24, 2026, at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the car was unveiled, when they also made an announcement that they would launch in late May 2026. Pricing is yet to be revealed, but many sources suggest that it will be between 450,000 and 500,000 CNY, which translates to 63.5 lakh to 70.5 lakh INR. Following its launch, it will give tough competition to Nio ES8, Zeekr 7X and XPeng G9.

Since the Xiaomi YU7 GT unveiling, many details about it have emerged. Its length, width and height are 5,015 mm, 2,007 mm and 1,597 mm. Its wheelbase is 3,000 mm; compared to the Aito M9 and the Tesla Model Y, it is 110 mm longer, meaning rear-seating passengers are set to have more ample legroom that makes the long journey convenient.
They haven’t officially revealed its interior, but reportedly, it will be the same as the standard Xiaomi YU7. The cabin is expected to have a 1.1-metre-wide ‘HyperVision’ panoramic HUD (Head-Up Display) that projects speed, navigation, driving assistant alerts, blind-spot camera feeds, media information, and vehicle telemetry on the windshield.
A 16.1-inch 3K touchscreen infotainment system is likely to be the centre dashboard that may act as a control panel in the cabin; it is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 cockpit chip. A 14-speaker premium audio system is also expected to ensure the immersive sound experience inside the cabin.
China’s MIIT filing reveals that Xiaomi Auto will introduce the all-electric Xiaomi YU7 GT with a dual-motor setup featuring an all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration; details about the gearbox are pending, but most likely it will use a single-speed automatic, because the same is standard in this segment.

The dual-motor setup means one motor is mounted on the front axle and another on the rear axle, which generates the maximum power of 288 kW (386 hp) and 450 kW (604 hp), respectively. Notably, the combined power output is 738 kW (990 hp), and the maximum speed is 300 km/h. The acceleration timing for 0-100 km/h is still pending but highly expected to be under 3.5 seconds.
It gets a 101.7 kWh NMC battery pack, whose range is 705 km on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle. Built on 800-volt electrical architecture, it is expected to support DC chargers up to 350 kW that may take around 15 minutes for 10 to 80 per cent charging.
The Xiaomi Auto launched the standard YU7 back in June 2026 with the starting price of 253,500 CNY (3.58 lakh INR). On March 19, 2026, they introduced a new generation of standard YU7; it resulted in a sales increase. That month they sold a total of 13,558 units, but last month, i.e., in April 2026, they sold only 9,876 units, a 27.16% decline in sales.
