The Aistaland GX7, a five-seater extended-range electric sport utility vehicle, launch date has been officially confirmed. The presale for this electrified SUV is already taking place from September 4, 2026, with the starting price of 249,900 yuan (37,300 USD). Let’s have a closer look at the launch.
What’s the launch update?
Aistaland, a Chinese premium smart-vehicle brand jointly created by GAC Group (Guangzhou Automobile Group) and Huawei, has officially confirmed that they will launch the Aistaland GX7 EREV on September 23, 2026.
The launch of this extended-range electric SUV takes place at an event, where the manufacturer won’t only unveil the vehicle but also announce the price and reveal all the specifications. Reports suggest that the delivery of the Aistaland GX7 five-seater car will begin with the launch.

Powertrain details.
Aistaland GX7 will go for sale with three different powertrains as EREV: The first one will get one electric motor on the front axle that delivers 200 kW (272 PS); the second one will be available with two electric motors, one on each axle, whose combined power output is 340 kW (462 PS); and the third will be available with three motors, one on the front axle and two on the rear axle, with a maximum power delivery of 550 kW (748 PS).

Besides the electric motor(s), they have a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine of 125 kW (170 PS). The ICE acts as a generator for this electrified SUV powering the motor; when the battery pack is depleted, it can run on up to 92 RON or higher fuel. For the first two variants, the 52 kWh LFP battery pack is certain, and the same for the last one, which is set to be 67 kWh NMC.
What about its performance?
The top speed for all three EREV powertrains is 210 km, but the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing and EV-mode range vary depending on battery pack configuration; they are shared below.

The EV mode and combined range are as per the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle; in the real world they are set to vary depending on driving style, weather conditions, and other factors.
Dimensions and space.
The length, width, and height of the Aistaland GX7 are 5,099 mm, 2,006 mm, and 1,750 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase of 3,070 mm and ground clearance of 170 mm. A total of 5 seats are available inside the cabin in 2-3 layouts without the cargo capacity of 868 litres behind the second.
The seats in the second row are foldable, which enhances the cargo capacity up to 2,215 litres and makes carrying big luggage convenient. The legroom and headroom for the second row are 1,096 mm and 1,070 mm, respectively. It also has 138 litres of underfloor storage.
Technology and features.
The Aistaland GX7 is equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system, which works with 4 LiDAR sensors, including an 896-line dual-optical-path image-grade LiDAR on the front-end roof.
Its cabin has two 15.6-inch screens, one as an infotainment system and another as a digital instrument cluster; additionally, it has an 88-inch augmented-reality head-up display that projects driving data on the windscreen.
At the rear, it has a 32-inch 2K laser-projection display for entertainment of rear-seating passengers. Its cabin is equipped with the Huawei Sound system with up to 21 speakers that ensure an immersive audio experience inside the cabin.
