2027 BYD Atto 2 Launched: Check Price, Battery Pack, Range and Key Features

BYD has officially launched the 2027 BYD Atto 2 (Yuan UP) for the Chinese market as the Feichi Edition. A total of 5 variants have been introduced; they all are available with the front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Across the variants, three LFP different battery packs are available, providing choice to buyers. Let’s have a closer look at the BYD’s recently launched all-electric mid-size crossover.

The Chinese automobile manufacturer Build Your Dreams has officially launched the 2027 BYD Atto 2 (Yuan UP) on September 17, 2026, announcing the price and revealing all the details. It is a mid-size electric SUV under the Yuan family, which is positioned above the BYD Dolphin (Seagull). and below the BYD Atto 3 (Yuan Plus). The BYD Atto 2 Feichi Edition variants are 301KM Leading, 401KM Leading, 401KM Vitality, 501KM Beyond, and 501KM Excellence; their prices are 74,800 yuan (11,150 USD), 81,800 yuan (12,200 USD), 89,800 yuan (13,390 USD), 94,800 yuan (14,140 USD), and 104,800 yuan (15,630 USD), respectively.

Motor setup and battery packs

The 2027 BYD Atto 2 gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission, which cranks 70 kW (94 hp) power and 180 Nm torque. The PMSM is mounted on the front axle, featuring a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. The available LFP battery pack, their range on CLTC, and estimated WLTC are as follows.

For all these variants, the BYD first-generation Blade Battery supports fast DC charging that takes half an hour for 30 to 80 percent charging. The 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing and top speed for all the 2027 BYD Atto 2 variants are still pending. The range on full charge mentioned above are claimed figures; the actual ones will vary depending on driving style and other factors.

Dimensions and spaces

The BYD Atto 2 Feichi Edition dimensions are the same as the standard model. The length, width, and height are 4,310 mm, 1,830 mm, and 1,675 mm, respectively, with the 2,620 mm wheelbase. Its cabin has a total of 5 seats in 2-3 arrangement and a decent cargo space behind the second row.

The second-row seats are foldable in 60:40, enhancing the practicality of carrying luggage with one or two occupants in the second row. By folding all seats in the second row, the cargo capacity can be expanded to 1,320 liters. 

Features and technology

The cabin of 2027 BYD Atto 2 gets a two-spoke steering wheel, whose column mounts a gear selector. Seats in the front row are ventilated and heated; there’s also a 50-watt wireless phone charging pad on the center console for phone charging convenience, and a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade to block the direct sunlight inside the cabin during the daylight driving.

The dashboard’s center has a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen that runs on the DiLink 100 cockpit, the brand’s intelligent infotainment system.
