The Audi A2 nameplate is making a comeback, approximately 20 years later, with the 2026 Audi A2 e-tron, which is set to feature a compact electric hatchback SUV crossover body style. It is scheduled to launch in Europe at the end of 2026, followed by its release in Asia and other markets.

The 2026 Audi A2 e-tron is an entry-level luxury SUV, which will be launched in the European market with a price range of €35,000 to €37,000, which is expected to be the cheapest SUV from Audi. It will compete with the Volkswagen ID.3, MG4 EV and BYD Dolphin and is likely to give tough competition.

2026 Audi A2 e-Tron Battery, Range & Performance 

It will be introduced with two battery packs, which are 58 kWh and 79 kWh, giving a WLTP range of 426 kilometres and 600 kilometres, respectively. It comes with 400V electrical architecture, which supports a maximum DC charger of 125 kW. 

With maximum DC charging capacity, the 2026 Audi A2 e-tron can be charged within 20 minutes from 10 to 80 per cent, and with an 11 kW AC onboard charger, it takes around 6 to 8 hours to fully charge it. 

It will be introduced globally with a single-motor front-wheel drive option and a dual-motor all-wheel drive option, which will generate the power of 125 to 150 kW (170 to 204 hp) and 200 to 210 kW (270 to 300 hp), respectively. 

The acceleration timing for the FWD and AWD options is 7–8 seconds and 5–6 seconds, respectively, and the top speed is expected to be more than 160 km with the single motor and 180 km with the dual motor.

The 2026 Audi A2 e-tron’s dimensions in terms of length, width and height are 4,200 mm, 1,800 mm and 1,530 mm, which give it a bold appearance on the road, and the wheelbase is 2,650 mm, which plays a crucial role in providing better stability at high speed and also provides good legroom for rear-seating individuals.

It comes with a seating capacity of five people and is likely to provide boot space of 380 litres to 420 litres. The cargo space is expected to give ample space to carry 3 to 4 big pieces of luggage easily, and the ground clearance is expected to be around 180 mm, which is quite good for the Indian road condition.

The interior of the 2026 Audi A2 e-Tron is quite spacious, and it is equipped with advanced and high-tech features to provide great comfort and convenience for occupants. For infotainment, it includes Audi Virtual Cockpit, a large central touchscreen infotainment system and likely a dual-screen setup with touch and voice controls.

To make the interior more premium, ambient lighting, premium upholstery, soft-touch materials across the dashboard and multi-zone climate control are added; and to ensure the safety of occupants, it includes Adaptive cruise control, Lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and parking sensors with a rear camera.

The front and rear suspension of the 2026 Audi A2 e-Tron are MacPherson strut and multi-link, respectively, ensuring better stability even on rough roads.
