Powerstain & Performance
The Porsche Cayenne Electric comes with two motors, one mounted with the front wheels and one with the rear, featuring an AWD option, and it has a single-speed automatic transmission. Both variants of this EV, standard and turbo, come with launch control, a feature which can give it a quick acceleration. Performance for each is discussed below:
- Standard: It generates the power of 408 HP, but 442 HP with the launch control, and 835 Nm torque; 0-100 km/h acceleration timing is 4.8 seconds, and the top speed is 230 km/h.
- Turbo: It generates 857 HP power, but 1,156 HP with launch control and 1,500 Nm torque; acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h is 2.5 seconds, and top speed goes up to 260 km/h.
The standard one is smooth, fast, and perfect for luxury and daily driving, and the turbo is ideal for the entrepreneurs who want to have a supercar-level performance SUV.
Battery, Range & Charging
The Porsche Cayenne Electric comes with a 113 kWh high-voltage battery which has an advanced double-sided cooling system added to it which provides better efficiency along with improved performance.
The standard variant offers a WLTP range of 642 km, and the turbo gives 623 km on a full charge. The real-world range is expected to be between 550 and 600 kilometres; in highway driving conditions, a range of 450 to 500 kilometres is anticipated.
It is built on 800-volt architecture, which means it can support a maximum of 400 kW DC charging, which takes only 16 minutes to charge from 10 to 80%. It also supports wireless charging of 11 kW, which takes around 11 hours to charge it from 0 to 100%.
It also features regenerative braking of 600 kW, which means that whenever the brakes are applied, the kinetic energy from the motion is converted into electricity, which is then channelled to the battery to charge it, as 97% of the braking is done by the motor and 3% through the traditional braking.
Dimensions & Space
In terms of dimensions, the standard and Turbo variants of the Porsche Cayenne Electric are identical. Their length, width, height, and wheelbase measure 4,985 mm, 1,980 mm, 1,674 mm, and 3,023 mm, respectively, dimensions that lend it the appearance of a large SUV and give it a bold road presence.
Its substantial height and long wheelbase allow occupants to enjoy superior headroom and legroom; furthermore, the combination of its wheelbase and width works together to provide enhanced stability at high speeds.
It is set to come with adjustable ground clearance, which can be adjusted to a minimum of 175 mm and a maximum of 245 mm, depending on driving conditions. Lowering the ground clearance provides better aerodynamics for fast driving, while raising it proves more convenient for off-roading.
It is a 5-seater SUV featuring two rows of seating in the front. It offers a boot space of 747 litres, capable of easily accommodating six large pieces of luggage; furthermore, if the second row is folded down, the cargo space expands to 1,550 litres.
