Lotus Cars has launched its first plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) for the Chinese market, named the Lotus For Me for the domestic market; it will be launched globally as the Lotus Eletre X in June 2026. Pre-sales in China began in early March 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to commence on March 30, 2026.
The Lotus Eletre X (known as ‘Lotus for Me’ in the Chinese market) has been launched in two variants: Standard and SE. It is priced at 508,000 and 558,000 Chinese yuan, respectively, which translates to 59 lakhs and 65 lakhs in Indian rupees. The Lotus Eletre X is introduced in the Chinese market as Lotus For Me, which features stylish and aerodynamic design and a premium interior with advanced and high-tech features. As it is a plug-in hybrid vehicle, it comes equipped with both an engine and a motor, whose performance is exceptionally good.

Powerstain & Performance
The Lotus Eletre X comes with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine and a two-motor setup in the front and rear wheels which features an AWD configuration whose combined power output is 700 kW, equivalent to 939 hp power. It comes with a 70 kWh NMC battery and 52-litre fuel tank, which gives only an electric CLCT range of 420 km; the overall hybrid range is expected to be above 1,200 km.
The acceleration timing of the Lotus Eletre X from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h takes 10.5 seconds, and the top speed is 230 km/h. It is based on 900V high-voltage architecture, which means that it supports DC fast charging, which can charge its battery from 20% to 80% within 19 minutes, resulting in a real-world range of 200 km.
Dimensions & Space
The Lotus Eletre X measures 5,103 mm in length, giving it a commanding road presence and an elongated aesthetic. Its width of 2,019 mm lends it a bold and stylish stance, while its height of 1,636 mm ensures ample headroom for all occupants, creating a spacious cabin environment.
The substantial 3,019 mm wheelbase contributes to superior stability even at high speed and provides generous legroom for rear passengers. It features an expected ground clearance of 180 mm, allowing it to easily navigate speed breakers and rough terrain.
In the Chinese market, it is available with both four-seat and five-seat cabin configurations; the vehicle offers a boot space of 688 litres. This expands to 1,532 litres when the rear seats are folded down. Additionally, it features a 46-litre frunk that provides convenient space for carrying accessories.
Exterior & Design
The design profile of the Lotus Eletre X draws inspiration from hypercars like the Lotus Evija, featuring a sharp and aggressive nose at the front, split LED headlamps, arrow-shaped DRLs, and integrated LiDAR sensors for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
From the side, the vehicle showcases a coupe-style sloping roofline, large alloy wheels, flush door handles, and blacked-out wheel arches. The rear features a full-width LED light bar, an active rear spoiler, aerodynamic air channels, and split surfaces.
Interior & Features
The interior of the Lotus Eletre X offers a truly premium feel, featuring a triple-screen setup, one each for the driver, the centre console, and the passenger along with a KEF sound system comprising up to 23 speakers. The front seats come equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while the rear seats are both heated and ventilated.
It also features four-zone automatic climate control, an air quality system and a heat pump; electrically adjustable seats with memory; configurable ambient lighting; a panoramic or electrochromic glass roof; multiple USB-C ports and wireless charging; and smart and high-tech features for the convenience of the occupants so that the journey is comfortable.
