The Mahindra XEV 9S, a seven-seater all-electric SUV, is available in the Indian market in six variants with three battery packs. It is based on the brand’s INGLO EV platform, whose ex-showroom price starts from ₹19.95 lakh and goes up to ₹30.20 lakh.
Available battery packs are 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh, and their ARAI-certified ranges are 521 km, 600 km and 679 km, respectively. It debuted in the Indian market on November 27, 2025; booking started on January 14, 2026, and delivery began on January 23, 2026.
And it supports 140 kW, 160 kW and 180 kW DC chargers for 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, respectively, which take only 20 minutes to charge the EV from 20 to 80%. The maximum AC charging capacity is 11 kWh, which takes 7-10 hours for a full charge.
Powertrain & Performance
It is equipped with a PMS motor that is mounted with the rear wheels, which means it features rear-wheel drive configuration, and the transmission is single-speed automatic.
With the 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, the power output torque is 228 bhp, 241 bhp and 281 bhp, respectively, but the torque is 380 Nm for all battery packs.
And the acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h ranges from 7.5 seconds to 9 seconds, and the top speed is between 185 km/h and 200 km/h, depending on the battery pack.
Dimensions & Space
The length of 4737 mm results in making the cabin spacious; the width of 1900 mm makes it a wider car with ample shoulder room for mid-row and rear occupants, and the height of 1714 mm makes it quite tall to give decent headroom for all.
It has a long wheelbase of 2762 mm that ensures better stability during high speeds and also gives ample legroom, and the ground clearance is 201 mm, which is quite high too, and it enables it to easily navigate through the potholes and speed bumps.
And it gets the seating capacity of seven people with a layout of two, three and two, making it an ideal choice for a family wanting an eco-friendly SUV for long drives. The cargo space is 150 litres, which can extend to 572 litres by folding the third-row seat.
Exterior & Design
The front fascia features a closed-off grille, a full-width LED DRL light bar, split LED headlamps and a bold bumper with clean surfaces that gives it a modern electric vehicle identity.
On the sides, it has a long body with strong shoulder lines, flush-type door handles, large alloy wheels and smooth and clean surfaces to help with better aerodynamics and give it a premium road presence.
And the rear comes with connected LED tail lamps, a clean tailgate and an integrated spoiler, which make the design simple, modern and premium and give it a luxury SUV feel and a future-ready look.

Interior & Features
The interior gets a dual-tone premium cabin, a clean and minimal dashboard design, and two-spoke steering with an illuminated logo, giving the feel of a modern, airy, and smart interior.
It has a three-digit screen of 12.3 inches; the first is the river display, the second one is the central infotainment, and the third is for the entertainment of passengers with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting add more premiumness, and it has multiple wireless chargers for fast and convenient phone charging. The front seats are ventilated and powered, and the second-row seat comes with features of sliding and reclining.
It gets triple-zone climate control, rear AC vents for all rows and features a quiet cabin with acoustic glass. And for safety, it includes 7 airbags, a 360° camera with sensors, Level-2 ADAS and blind-spot monitoring.
