Kia Motors unveils the 2027 EV3 at the New York International Auto Show; now the all-electric compact SUV has made its debut in North America. It will go on sale around late 2026 and be available in five trims that are Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT.
It comes with many premium features that we get to see in the EV6 and EV9. The EV3 is positioned as an entry-level SUV in Kia’s lineup with a main focus on affordability as well as daily use and practicality. The price in the US is expected to start from $35,000.
Exterior & Design
The EV3 from Kia Motors features an ‘Opposites United’ design language with sharp and geometric lines and soft and clean surfaces. Its digital ‘Tiger Face’ grill gives it a modern and digital identity; it features vertical DRLs with pixel-style LEDs that create a high-tech futuristic look.
At the side, it gets a boxy yet aerodynamic shape that improves its efficiency; a sloping roofline gives it a modern look, and flush-type door handles and strong shoulder lines make its appearance futuristic.
The vertical LED tail lamps, clean tailgate, and wide stance that make its rear look modern. The standard variants get 17-inch alloys, and the top trim comes with 19-inch alloys. The GT-Line and GT variants feature aggressive bumpers and accents for a sportier feel.
Interior & Features
The Kia EV3’s cabin is quite spacious and features soft-touch materials for seating with good touch finishes. The interior features a 30-inch panoramic display with two 12.3-inch displays, one as an instrument cluster and another as an infotainment system, and a 5-inch climate control display.

For smart connectivity and technology, it features wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, an AI voice assistant, OTA updates, and streaming apps such as Netflix and YouTube; and it gets retractable cupholders and flexible storage, an open and airy layout with a flat floor, reclining rear seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control as comfort features.
The top trim gets premium features such as heated and ventilated front seats, multicolor ambient lighting, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. It does get smart features such as Digital Key 2.0, a wireless charging pad, a 360° Surround View Monitor with a blind-spot view monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Dimensions & Space
The Kia EV3 measures 4,300 mm in length, making it a compact SUV, but it makes it easy to park in cities and better maneuverability in traffic; a width of 1,850 mm gives it a wide stance that better road grip and more shoulder room inside; and the height of 1,500 mm gives a comfortable seating position.
The 2,680 mm wheelbase is quite long in the segment, and it provides more legroom and better ride comfort by enhancing stability and a less bumpy feel. It comes with a 5-person seating layout with standard 2 and 3 with a cargo space of 485 liters that can easily carry four big pieces of luggage and features a frunk of 25 liters to help in carrying a USB cable.
Battery, Range & Charging
The Kia EV3 comes with two battery packs that are 58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh. It features a lithium-ion battery (Li-ion) with NMC (nickel–manganese–cobalt) chemistry; the first one gives a range of 220 miles (≈354 km), and the other one runs 320 miles (≈515 km) on one full charge.
The electrical architecture is based on 400V; that means it supports fast charging up to 125 kWh, which charges the vehicle’s standard pack from 10 to 80% in 29 minutes and 31 minutes, respectively, with maximum capacity. It also gets on board an 11 kW AC charger that takes overnight for a full charge.
Powertrain & Performance
The Kai EV3 is available with two drivetrain types; one of them features a single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration and the other has a two-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) option. The transmission for FWD and AWD drivetrains is single-speed automatic.
The FWD version generates the power of 201 hp, the AWD of 261 hp, and the GT of 288 hp, which makes it ideal for normal daily performance and quick and responsive and sporty and fun to drive, respectively. The acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h is 7.9 seconds, and top speed goes up to 105 mph.
