2026 Renault Clio E-Tech Full Hybrid: Launch Expected in Late 2026 & Starting Price ₹20 Lakh Likely

The 2026 Renault Clio E-Tech full hybrid was unveiled on September 24, 2025, at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich and available for sale in a few European countries. In India, it may be introduced by late 2026 with the ex-showroom price of ₹20 lakh and ₹28 lakh.

Exterior & Design

Up front it gets sharp LED headlights that give it a modern and aggressive look; C-shaped LED DRLs that are placed below the headlights give it a strong identity; and a large grille is placed with diamond-pattern elements that reflect the brand design pattern.

On the sides, the door handles are integrated into the C-pillar to give it a cleaner look. It features strong shoulder lines which create a muscular appearance and runs on 18-inch alloy wheels which further increase its efficiency.

Around the back, split LED taillights give it a wider stance; the rear bumper is a little chunky, which makes its appearance sportiness; the spoiler improves its aerodynamics; and the tailgate is clean with sharp finishes.

Interior & Features

The cabin is quite spacious; it features a modern driver-focused dashboard, and soft-touch materials are used for seats. The infotainment system includes a 9.3-inch touch screen with OpenR Link that supports navigation and voice control with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.

There is a 10-inch drive display that shows speed, navigation, hybrid energy flow and driving data. It also gets multi-function steering wheel control and an adjustable driver seat and steering. For convenience, it is equipped with a wireless charging pad, multiple USB ports, automatic climate control, a premium Bose sound system, and ambient lighting.

To ensure the safety of occupants, it gets multiple airbags that play a crucial role in saving lives. The adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, 360° camera and automatic emergency braking are the features that assist drivers for safe driving.

Dimensions & Space

The length of 4,116 mm makes it a compact sport utility vehicle, which is easy to drive and park in the city; the width of 1,768 mm reflects its wider body, giving it a better road presence and stability; and the height of 1,541 mm is low but gives it a sporty stance.

The wheelbase of 2,590 mm is quite longer in the segment, meaning it provides better legroom for even rear-seating passengers. In the global market it comes with 140 mm ground clearance, but it is expected to be increased by 20 mm for the Indian market to tackle the country’s road conditions.

It features a seating capacity of 5 people in a standard layout of 2-3. Despite its compact size, up to 5 adults can easily sit inside the cabin. The boot space is 301 litres, which is good enough to carry luggage for a small battery; by folding down the rear seats, the cargo space can be extended up to 1069 litres.

Powertrain & Performance

It features a 1.8L petrol engine with 4 cylinders and two electric motors, which includes the main motor and starter generator, and also features a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is runnable in pure electric mode, hybrid mode, and engine-only mode.

The power output is 160 hp, torque is 270 Nm, drivetrain is front-wheel drive and transmission is multimode automatic that is inspired by Formula 1 hybrid technology, which features up to 15 gear combinations.

The acceleration timing from 0 to 100 km is 8.3 seconds; top speed goes up to 180 km/h, but electric-only speed is 105 km/h, resulting in providing quick acceleration for daily as well as highway driving. The fuel efficiency is 25 kmpl, quite good in the segment.
