The Fangchengbao Ti9 interior was revealed with the release of a video that shows its front row, which consists of a large touchscreen, a slim digital instrument cluster, a D-shaped steering wheel, a steering column-mounted gear selector, and other smart features.
Releasing the video, the Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD’s Fangchengbao has revealed the interior of the upcoming full-size crossover, Fangchengbao Ti9. The video shows that inside the cabin it has a floating touchscreen at the dashboard, just above the center console. The size regarding its size is still uncertain, but it is most likely to measure around 30 inches.
The touchscreen merges both the infotainment system and co-passenger entertainment screen. Before the driver seat, there’s a D-shape four-spoke steering wheel. It has a Fangchengbao logo for branding and physical buttons for control and settling.
Behind the steering wheel, a slim digital instrument cluster. The size of the same is also undisclosed; we are expecting it to be around 12 inches; however, the actual size will be revealed at the launch. Vertically oriented air conditioning vents are available on the sides, and there are also two horizontally oriented vents placed just below the large screen.
The large central tunnel present between the driver and co-passenger seat has two wireless phone chargers. These charging pads enhance the phone charging convenience for compatible devices for occupants.
Other features that we get to see on the center console are a block of physical buttons, two cup holders, and a large covered area that seems to be an armrest. Not officially confirmed, we are expecting hidden storage under that part for carrying small items.
The entire cabin is finished in white and fine gold accents, enhancing the cabin aesthetic. Things that further improve the cabin’s premiumness are the ambient lighting.
Apart from these details, the rest remain undisclosed. The second-row interior features are yet to be unveiled. As this upcoming car has a three-row seating layout, the option of a 2-2-2 layout is most likely.
The 2-2-2 layout means the executive seating comfort in the second row. Soon, all the pending features will be revealed. We are anticipating that the second-row caption chairs will have zero-gravity features and a dedicated display mounted with a roof for the entertainment purposes.
The Fangchengbao Ti9 Chinese market launch is drawing closer; the carmaker hasn’t officially disclosed any date, but reports suggest that the launch will take place in Q4 of 2026.
The core specifications have already emerged with its appearance in the China MIIT filing catalogue release; it has revealed that this upcoming car is coming with a plug-in hybrid electric powertrain. As a PHEV, it will run on battery for a decent range and on petrol after the battery is depleted.
It is an ideal option for the Chinese buyers who prefer city driving on electric mode and seek highway cruising without any range anxiety. The filing has revealed that under the hood, it will have a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol ICE that delivers 115 kW (154 hp).
Beside the internal combustion engine, two electric motors, one on each axle, are revealed. As per the MIIT filing, the combined power output is 400 kW (536 hp). To give it a 310 km CLTC range in EV mode, it has a 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Even though its combined range is disclosed, it is 2,300 km on CLTC condition.
The revealing interior has confirmed that the upcoming Fangchengbao Ti9 is full of smart features and technology to enhance. BYD’s sub-brand is all set to position itself in the Chinese market as a feature-rich car whose cabin not only enhances the driving experience but also takes care of occupants’ comfort and convenience during the trip.
Its revealed interior features for the second row have already hinted that it will be positioned against the rival with full strength. Not only the interior features, but even its powertrain and other specifications make this upcoming crossover odd among the rivals. If it is positioned at a little less price than its opponents, it will certainly make good sales numbers.
