Changan Nevo, the electric vehicle sub-brand of Changan Automobile, launched the Changan Nevo Q06, a mid-size sport utility vehicle, with both battery electric and extended-range electric powertrains. It is designed by Klaus Zyciora, a senior design executive at Changan Automobile; this car has been positioned against the BYD Song Ultra.
Its launch in the Chinese market happened on September 23, 2026; soon it will go for sale in the international market, as the global debut is already planned but not revealed publically. This car comes with the 0.27 CD drag coefficient, ensuring better energy efficiency. Let’s have a closer look at both the BEV and EREV models.
Multiple BEVs and only EREV models.
The battery electric vehicle version is available in a total of five variants, and the extended-range electric in only one. The table below carries the variant-wise prices before the taxes and charges.

The price range of 139,900 yuan to 151,900 yuan is regular; currently these models are on sale with a promotional discount of 4,000 yuan, meaning the car is available for sale with the price of 135,900 yuan to 165,900 yuan.
Single and double-motor options.
The 602 and 700 battery electric vehicles get a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle, and the 670 Dual-Motor Smart also gets an induction motor. The power output is 225 kW (302 hp), 245 kW (329 hp), and 330 kW (443 hp) for 602, 700, and 670 Double-Motor, respectively.
The first four variants of BEV are available with a 66 kWh lithium-ion battery, and the last two with an 80 kWh unit. The CLTC range for the first two is 602 km, the latter two have 702 km, and the last one has 670 km. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing for the dual motor BEV is 4.8 seconds.
The only extended-range electric vehicle is also available with two electric motors, whose combined power output is 270 kW (362 hp). The 28.39 kWh LFP battery pack is available beneath the floor, which helps this car to run up to 200 km on CLTC condition in the EV mode. The combined range for this vehicle is 1,600 km.
The model available as EREV also gets a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol-powered internal combustion engine, which acts as a generator to power the motor. The ICE delivers 72 kW (97 hp). With this powertrain, it takes only 5.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, 1 second more than the all-electric top-end variant.
Large boot space and mid-size crossover proportions.
Dimensionally, the Changan Nevo Q06 is 4,837 mm longer, 1,670 mm wider, and 1,970 mm wider. Its wheelbase is 2,940 mm, a quite large distance between the front and rear axles, providing a spacious cabin for enhanced seating comfort.
The 20-inch wheels are standard, enhancing the road presence. Behind the second row, its cabin has a boot space of 782 liters that is expandable up to 2,200 liters, enhancing the practicality of carrying luggage. The battery electric vehicle version also has a 196-liter tank that makes it easy to carry the charging cable.
Smart driving assistant and premium comfort features.
It is equipped with the Changan’s NEVO Intelligent Driving System featuring automatic emergency steering, automatic emergency braking, and automatic emergency stopping. 256-line LiDAR, 11 cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and a driving computer with up to 560 TOPS computing power are the hardware for this recently launched car.
On the exterior, it has a sloping bonnet, split LED headlamps, a full-width rear taillight, and semi-hidden door handles. Its cabin is equipped with many smart features, such as a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a digital LCD instrument cluster, a D-shaped steering wheel with a steering-column-mounted gear selector, and also a head-up display that projects the driving information on the windshield before the driver’s eyes.
Other interior feature highlights are the wireless smartphone charging pad in the front row, the retractable roof-mounted screen for rear seating passengers, the 9.5-liter built-in refrigerator in the second row, the front zero-gravity seats adds premiumness, the second-row seats with 145° power recline for enhanced seating comfort, and the 28-point massage function to remove body fatigue during long drives.
