On May 23, 2026, the Chinese automobile manufacturer Changan Automobile launched two hybrid electric vehicles: the Changan CS75 Plus HEV with the BlueCore hybrid system and the fourth-generation Changan Eado HEV for the domestic market. The price of the former one is 79,900 yuan ($11,760), and the latter costs 109,900 yuan ($16,180).
The CS75 Plus HEV is built on Changan’s latest BlueCore iDE-H hybrid system, which gets a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine under the hood, a 1.7 kWh ternary lithium battery with a peak discharge of 50C and an output capacity of 80 kW, and two motors: P1 and P3 on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive drivetrain and a dedicated hybrid transmission.
The engine’s thermal efficiency is 44.28%, and its power output is 110 kW (148 hp). The P3 is the main drive motor, which generates the peak power of 180 kW (241 hp) at 20,000 rpm. Notably, its peak and drivetrain efficiencies are 98.1% and 92.8%, respectively.

The fuel efficiency for urban conditions is 3.54 liters per 100 kilometers, and mixed mileage, i.e., city driving and highway cruising, ranges from 4.67 liters to 4.69 liters per 100 kilometers. Notably, its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is under 8 seconds, and the top speed goes up to 185 km/h.
On the other hand, the Changan Eado HEV is also built on the BlueCore HEV setup’s efficiency-focused version. It gets a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a high-output electric motor under the hood and has a 1.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Its drivetrain is also front-wheel drive and uses a dedicated hybrid transmission.
The power output of the engine and electric motor is 72 kW (97 hp) and 160 kW (215 hp), respectively. Reportedly, it has a fuel efficiency of 2.98 liters per 100 kilometers. The Changan Automobile says that its top speed is 180 km/h, and to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, it takes a time of under 9 seconds.
The CS75 Plus HEV measures 4,700 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,710 mm, and ground clearance is 190 mm. It features a fuel tank of 58 liters and boot space of 610 liters. The main competitors are the BYD Song Plus DM-i, Geely Galaxy Starship 7, and Honda CR-V e:HEV.
On the other hand, the Eado HEV is 4,770 mm longer, 1,840 mm wider, and 1,440 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,765 mm, and ground clearance is 145 mm. Comes with a fuel tank of 51 liters and a cargo capacity of 520 liters. BYD Qin Plus DM-i, Geely Galaxy L6, and Toyota Corolla are its main rivals.

Both are available with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3. The CS75 Plus HEV has front ventilated and heated seats, which are also powered. The cabin gets a panoramic sunroof, dual wireless phone chargers, a PM2.5 air filtration system to ensure the fresh air inside the cabin, multiple storage spaces, and cup holders.
Equipped with three screens, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster showing all the driving data; a 14.6-inch central infotainment screen acting as the control panel of the cabin; and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment screen, which runs on the TianShu OS intelligent system. Other notable features are the DeepSeek AI voice assistant, wireless smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, and voice control functions.
And the Eado HEV has a double-screen dashboard, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, and a 14.6-inch infotainment display in the center. The screens run on TianShu OS, which supports DeepSeek AI voice interaction, smart voice controls, and connected-car functions. It features electrically adjustable seats, rear AC vents, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
