In December 2026, two electrified SUVs are slated for launch. One among them is the Honda 0 Alpha, and the other is the JSW Combat. The former one is the first all-electric car, not only for India but also for the global market for Honda, and the latter is an Indian-spec plug-in hybrid electric vehicle for the Jetour T2 PHEV sold across the globe.
Honda 0 Alpha

Honda Cars India has officially confirmed the date on which the Honda 0 Alpha all-electric SUV launch will take place. The brand will launch on December 2, 2026, at an event. On this day, this SUV won’t only be showcased, but also its core specifications and features will be unveiled. Reports suggest that it will be a mid-size SUV, which will compete with the Tata Sierra EV and others in the segment.
This upcoming Honda electric SUV has been spotted testing on public roads in India multiple times. After the multiple sightings, many details have emerged. Seeing the spy shots closely, we get to see it will have a futuristic and modern design with an aerodynamic body. Regarding the interior, a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster have been spied.
Reportedly, two lithium-ion battery pack options will be available, but their capacities are still unknown. It means the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV will debut with two different ranges; the standard may be positioned for daily city driving users, and another for the driver looking for an EV whose battery lasts long. Pricing details are also undisclosed, they will be unveiled at the launch event.
Things regarding its nameplate are also undisclosed. The Honda 0 Alpha is named for the concept version, reports suggest that the actual name will be unveiled officially near the launch. Honda has officially confirmed that after its debut in the Indian market, they will also launch it globally, but the timeline for the same is also pending.
JSW Combat

The JSW Combat is an upcoming plug-in hybrid electric SUV with off-roading capabilities, whose launch date is now officially confirmed. The JSW Motor will launch this electrified SUV on December 4, 2026; they also have confirmed that they will introduce it by assembly at the plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Notably, this upcoming electrified off-roader is an Indian-spec model for Jetour T2. The brand will showcase this car on the launch date and also remove the veil from the specifications and features. Reports suggest that the design and dimensions will be similar to the Jetour T2, this claim is further strengthened by spied images.
For reference, the Jetour T2 from Chery, sold in the Chinese and other international markets with the plug-in hybrid electric powertrain, gets a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder ACTECO turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine, two electric motors on the front axle, and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and delivers a power output of 280 kW and a torque of up to 610 Nm.
The international-spec Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid electric SUV takes 7.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph and reaches the maximum speed of 180 kmph, as per reports. As per Chery, this electrified SUV features an 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack beneath the floor that helps in running up to 90 km on EV mode on NEDC conditions.
The launch of the Honda 0 Alpha and JSW Combat will provide more options to Indian drivers who are looking for an electrified car. We believe that the former will be an ideal option for young drivers who are sensible about environments, and the latter for those who want a car that runs as an electric vehicle in the city and runs on highway with petrol power, i.e., without the range anxiety.
