BYD Da Han EV Debut

The BYD Dan Ha EV launch took place on October 13, 2026. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Build Your Dreams launched this all-electric sedan in a total of three variants. These variants are RWD Premium, RWD Flagship, and AWD Flagship.

As per the BYD, the first two get a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle, and the last one also has an induction motor on the rear axle. The manufacturer has revealed the price of the three variants they introduced.

All these models are available with tons of smart features and technology. The LiDAR-based driver assistance, DiSus-A air suspension, and rear-wheel steering are the features that are standard for this recently launched pure-electric car.

Prices start around US$35,000.

BYD has officially announced the price for each variant of BYD Dan Ha EV. The first one is available with the price of 235,900 yuan, which translates to US$35,200, and the second one costs only 249,900 yuan, which is equivalent to US$37,300.

The flagship all-wheel-drive variant retailed at 275,900 yuan (US$ 41,200). Notably, the first one is US$2,100 and US$6,000 more affordable than the second and third variants, respectively.

More than 1,000 km range.

The BYD Dan Ha EV RWD and AWD variants have maximum power outputs of 370 kW (496 hp) and 570 kW (764 hp), respectively, according to BYD. The Carmaker itself has confirmed the peak torque of 500 Nm for the single-motor and 910 Nm for the double-motor version.

Reports confirm that they use a 102.3 kWh next-generation BYD Blade battery. It has been placed beneath the floor. When the battery pack is fully charged, it gives a 1,008 km range on CLTC condition for the RWD version. But the range for AWD on the same provision is only 880 km.

The claimed range of all-wheel-drive is 128 km less because the variant that gets two motors gets more energy for each kilometer of driving because the battery has to power two motors instead of one. Notably, the rear-world range is still unknown. It varies depending on numerous factors.

Features ultra-fast DC charging.

BYD says that using the BYD Blade 2.0 battery, they have made this all-electric sedan ultra-fast charging compatible. An earlier press release from the carmaker claims 10 to 97 percent charging in just nine minutes, and even in case of extreme weather, it takes only 12 minutes for 20 to 97 percent.

The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 4.9 seconds for the rear-wheel-drive variant and 3.3 seconds for the all-wheel-drive, as per the BYD. With the launch, the carmaker hasn’t revealed the top speed. Pre-launch reports confirm that all variants can reach the speed of 270 km.

Comes with futuristic designs.

At the launch event, the BYD showcased the all-new BYD Dan Ha EV and revealed the design. A 2.41-meter LED daylight running light is clearly visible below the bonnet. Other visible elements on its exterior are roof-mounted LiDAR, sloping roofline, and hidden flush-type door handles.

The carmaker confirms the 0.197 aerodynamic drag ensures better energy efficiency. Aero-optimized ORVMs also help with reducing the aerodynamic drag and enhancing range. Multiple alloy wheel designs are available as standard; buyers may choose from them at the booking.

Equipped with three screens.

The BYD has revealed the features that it gets inside the cabin. The interior release officially reveals three screens: one floating 17.3-inch with 3K resolution at the dashboard’s center, and the other two are 12.3-inch in size, including a digital instrument cluster and co-passenger entertainment display.
