The Geely EX2 is an all-electric hatchback from the Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely, which is sold in the domestic market as Geely Xingyuan. In some international markets, it is also known as Geely EX2. Reportedly, this all-electric compact car achieved the milestone of one million production on October 20, 2026. To achieve this milestone, this compact EV takes only two years.
One million production milestones.
Along with the report, an image that shows the Geely production team, 1,000,000 milestone hoarding, the Geely EX2 electric car, and other details regarding the milestone has surfaced. In the online shared image, we can see the production timeline for the first 200,000 units, then for 400,000 units, and then for the last two 200,000 units.
The online surfaced image shows Geely achieved the milestone of 200,000 production in May 2025, which means they took around 7 months after the October 2024 launch. Other details include that the Geely EX2 electric vehicle 600,000 and 800,000 production milestones were achieved in March 2026 and August 2026, respectively.
It means, after completing the 200,000-unit milestone, it takes only 7 months to reach 600,000, and then 5 months for another 200,000, i.e., a total of 800,000. The one million milestone was achieved on October 20, 2026, around 2 months after completion of 800,000 unit production. Cumulatively, it took 24 months, i.e., 2 years.
Domestic sale figures.
Reportedly, in the Chinese market, a total of 827,825 Geely Xingyuan units have been delivered, including 51,659 between October and December 2024, 465,775 between January and December 2025, and 310,391 between January and September 2026. The last known monthly sale figure is of September 2026, as October is still ongoing. The China Passenger Car Association sales figures show that in September 2026 a total of 44,275 units were sold out. On the year-on-year basis, the sales have decreased by 7.91 percent and increased by 11.6 percent on a month-on-month basis.
Core specifications and features.
The Geely EX2 underpins the GEA (Global Intelligent Electric Architecture) platform; it has one permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission on the rear axle that delivers 85 kW and a peak torque of 150 Nm. The mounting of the PMSM on the rear axle makes it a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain car.
Geely says that a 40.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is placed beneath the floor, which contributes to a 395 km NEDC range. Officially revealed, it also shows that the acceleration timing for 0 to 50 kmph is 4.6 seconds and it takes 11.5 seconds to reach the speed of 100 kmph from standstill. It also has been revealed that the top speed is 130 kmph.
Inside, we get to see an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 14.6-inch HD central touchscreen infotainment system at the dashboard’s center. The 256-color ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, and keyless entry and keyless start are among the features that further enhance comfort and convenience.
