Changan Nevo Q06 Debuts with 800V Architecture, AWD and 700 km CLTC Range

Nevo, i.e., Qiyuan, Changan Automobile’s mainstream new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, has officially unveiled the Nevo Q06, a five-seat mid-size electric sport utility vehicle, which is built on the SDA platform, and its electrical architecture is 800V silicon-carbide electrical architecture supporting 6c ultra-fast charging.

The details about the Q06 from the Chagan emerge with the April 2026 China’s MIIT filing catalogue release, and now they have officially confirmed that they are going to introduce the model to the Chinese market in September 2026; however, they are yet to confirm the actual date for launch.

Its length is 4,837 mm with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm; width is 1,970 mm; and height is 1,670 mm. The Changan’s Nevo Q06 has a full-width LED daylight running light, main LED headlamps at the edges, a Nevo logo below the hood, vertical air curtains, bumper-integrated lower air intakes, and a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor at the front end.

It boasts double-toned front-door-mounted outside rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers, roof rails, flush-type door handles, wheel arch cladding, side skirts, and pie-shaped alloy wheels at the sides; and a roof-integrated spoiler, a full-width dot-matrix LED taillight, a side reflector below the taillights, and a bumper-integrated skid plate at the rear.

The overall design is based on the brand’s ‘Light-Catching’ aesthetic, and it is equipped with the ‘Changan Tianshu Pilot Ultra’ system featuring end-to-end urban navigation. The front and rear suspension are all-aluminum double-wishbone and five-link independent, respectively, featuring the Tianshu intelligent chassis.

They are all set to introduce it with two drivetrains; they are RWD and AWD. The rear-wheel drive features a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with a single-speed automatic transmission, whose power output is 225 kW (302 hp) for the standard and 245 kW (329 hp) for the long one.

The all-wheel drive gets an induction motor on the front axle and PMSM with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle, whose combined power output is 330 kW (443 hp). Reportedly, it will be available with five different CLTC ranges: 540 km, 570 km, 610 km, 670 km, and 700 km.

Inside, it has a four-spoke steering wheel under which there’s a slim digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard with physical buttons below the same, a phone charging pad on the center console, a large glovebox before the co-passenger seat, big compartment storage at the center console, and foldable trays in the second row.

The cabin features a double-tone interior with off-white and purple and a roof-mounted screen for the entertainment of rear-seating passengers. The entire cockpit is set to be integrated with a premium multi-speaker sound system, featuring over-the-air software updates and wireless multi-device connectivity.

The Q06 sits between the compact Q05 and the larger Q07, which is available for sale in the Chinese market with the price range from 79,900 yuan to 109,900 yuan and 129,800 yuan to 179,800 yuan, respectively, so we are expecting that the Q06 may cost between 110,000 yuan and 159,000 yuan.

The main rivals of the Nevo Q06 are the Xiaomi YU7, Zeekr X, and BYD Song Ultra. Reports suggest that September 2026 will mark the pre-sale for the model with a tentative price, and the market launch may take place within four weeks of that with the actual price, expected to be less than the pre-sale amount.

Once they have launched the model to market, the delivery will begin shortly. Usually, the Changan Automobile starts delivery within four weeks. As the marksheet launch is anticipated for October 2026, the delivery may begin in November 2026, and the carmaker will start recording sales.
