BYD has launched the Seal 06 GT and Seal 06 DM-i Waggon in the Chinese market with flash charging, which is capable of charging from 10% to 80% in 5 minutes. The GT is available in four trims, which range from 128,900 to 169,900 yuan; the DM-i Waggon is also in four trims, whose prices start from 111,900 yuan and go up to 139,900 yuan.
Variant & Price
The variants of the BYD Seal 06 GT are 520, 520 Plus, 620 Plus and 620 Max, and they are available with ¥128,900, ¥139,900, ¥153,900 and ¥169,900, respectively; the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon does have four variants, the 200 Comfort costs ¥111,900, 200 Smart costs ¥119,900.20. Premium costs ¥129,900, and 300 Flagships cost ¥139,900.
Powertrain & Performance
The BYD Seal 06 GT gets a single-motor rear-wheel drive configuration whose maximum power output is 200 kW and torque is 240 Nm. The first two have a 57.54 kWh battery pack and the last two have a 69.07 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 520 km and 620 km, respectively.
And the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor; the engine generates the power of 74 kW and torque of 126 Nm, and the motor generates 175 kW power and torque of 270 Nm, respectively. The drivetrain is FWD, and the transmission is E-CVT. Since it is a PHEV, it also has a battery; the available battery packs are 25.28 kWh and 34.27 kWh, whose only-electric range is 200 km and 300 km, respectively.
The acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h and top speed for the BYD Seal 06 GT are 7.3 seconds and 170 km/h, but the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon takes 8.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h, and the maximum speed is 180 km/h.
Interior & Features
The BYD Seal 06 GT’s cabin features an ocean-series minimalist design with a clean dashboard with integrated controls. It gets a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, multiple storage spaces, wireless charging, ambient lighting, connected car tech and others.
On the other hand, the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon gets a wraparound dashboard design; its cabin features more rear headroom and large cargo space. It features a rotatable 15.6-inch touchscreen, ventilated and heated front seats, power-adjustable seats with memory, a panoramic sunroof and more.
Exterior & Design
The BYD Seal 06 GT is inspired by the Ocean-M concept car, which has a sporty and low-slung EV hatchback stance. It has a closed grille for a cleaner look and narrow LED headlights for sharp and aggressive styling. Its low and wide stance makes it performance-focused, and the rear features a full-width LED light bar and integrated spoiler with diffuser elements.
And the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon also has an ocean-inspired design philosophy, but it focuses on elegance and practicality. The front fascia is rounded and features a wave-inspired grille that gives a premium feel. The sides feature a wagon body style, and the rear comes with wide LED tail lamps with a layered effect and large rear glass for better visibility.

The BYD Seal 06 GT has a length of 4630 mm, a width of 1880 mm, a height of 1490 mm and a wheelbase of 2820 mm. It features a seating capacity of 5 people with a layout of 2-3 and ample boot space that can easily carry 4 big pieces of luggage, which can be extended by folding down the rear seats.
And the BYD Seal 06 DM-i Waggon measures 4850 mm, 1890 mm, 1505 mm and 2790 mm, respectively. It also comes with a seating capacity of 5 people with a layout of 2-3. It has good rear legroom and headroom for all occupants, and boot space is capable of easily carrying 5-6 big pieces of luggage.
