Nissan launched the NX8, a mid-size all-electric sport utility vehicle, on April 8, 2026, for the Chinese market, after the pre-sale, which began on March 20, 2026. As per the report, the automakers get 8,423 orders within 30 minutes of the launch. It is available for sale in China with an EREV and BEV powertrain.
For the domestic market of China, it is available for sale in a total of 7 variants. Refer to the list below to check trim-wise price.

All variants of the Nissan NX8 are available with a limited-time offer, under which a discount of ¥10,000 is given, i.e., the price currently ranges from ¥149,900 to ¥199,900.
Gives 640 KM CLTC-Range
The NX8’s last four variants get a single motor which is mounted with the rear axle, featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. They are offered in two LPF battery packs: 73 kWh and 81 kWh, whose power output is 215 kW and 250 kW, respectively, giving the CLTC range of 580-650 km. It supports a 463 kW DC charger, which takes only 18 minutes for a 10-80% charge.
The first three variants of NX8 are available with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, whose power output is 109 kW; and an electric motor with the power of 195 kW. It is also offered in not two LPF battery packs, capacity not yet disclosed, but the give the CLTC-range of 150-310 km. The combined range is 1450 km, fuel efficiency is 4.51 liters per 100 km.

Features a 63-Inch AR-HUD
The NX8’s cabin is quite modern and futuristic. Its core system is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, whose operating system is Nissan OS 2.0. It comes with an AI voice assistant, ‘Nico’, that supports multi-command understanding and dialects and natural speech.
It gets a 15.6″ central touchscreen, a 15.6″ passenger entertainment screen, a 10.25″ digital instrument cluster and a 63-inch AR-HUD (Head-Up display) with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos system.
Momenta’s ADAS is added, featuring City NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), Highway NOA and Auto Parking. It features roof-mounted LiDAR, which includes cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors. Overall, it includes a total of 29 sensors and 22 safety features.

Gets Frameless Doors
The exterior of NX8 is based on Nissan’s evolved V-Motion design. It features 2.4-meter full-width “Star-Ring” LED light giving modern design, flat illuminated Nissan logo reflects the brand’s identity, and matrix LED headlamps enhance makes it eye-catching.
On the sides, it gets flush-type door handles that give better aerodynamics, a cleaner look and reduced noise. The frameless doors make it look more premium and sleeker in design. The slight sloping roofline gives a sporty coupe-like look and improves aerodynamics.
The back features an OLED ‘quantum light curtain’ and 2064 LED elements. The tailgate features a clean and minimal design and a subtle roof spoiler that ensures smooth airflow-shaping elements, a wide stance and strong shoulder lines that give a muscular and stable appearance.
Wheelbase Measures 2917 mm
The NX8’s length, width and height measures 4870 mm, 1920 mm and 1680 mm, respectively, giving it a strong road presence and ensuring better legroom and headroom. The wheelbase is 2917 mm, which is quite long, giving better stability at top speed.
It features a seating capacity of 5 people with layouts 2 and 3; the boot space for BEV and EREV gives the range of 773 litres and 748 litres, respectively. It is capable of easily carrying five big luggages, and also features 95 Litres frunk ‘front trunk storage,’ which help in carrying USB cables and small bags.
