BYD Han EV Flash Charging Edition Launched: 705 km Range, 9-Min Charge from $26,000

The Chinese automaker BYD has come with the flash charging edition of the Han EV, an all-electric four-door sedan, for the domestic market on April 28, 2026. The vehicle is introduced in two trims, whose price ranges from 179,800 yuan to 187,800 yuan in China, which translates to 26,000 USD to 27,200 USD.

The Han EV Flash Charging Edition has already arrived at the dealership in the second week of April 2026; now with its launch it is available for sale. Drivers may visit the nearest dealership to make a purchase. Its main competitors in the Chinese market are the Tesla Model 3, Xpeng P7i, and Nio ET5.

Powertrain & Performance

It is equipped with a 69.07 kWh Blade 2.0 battery pack, whose CLTC range is 705 km (438 miles) on a full charge. It supports up to a 1500 kW DC charger, similar to the Geely’s new ultra-fast charger, with 6C fast charging, it takes only 5 minutes for 10 to 70 percent charging. It takes only 9 minutes to charge up to 97 percent; in the case of extreme cold conditions, it takes 3 more minutes. This 6C ultra-fast charging technology is a major breakthrough for BYD, similar to what we recently saw in the Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition.

Features a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive (FWD) drivetrain, and its transmission is single-speed automatic. The power output of the electric motor generates the power of 322 hp (240 KW) and torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), making it sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 6.5 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h (112 mph).

Seating, Boot & Dimensions

BYD Han EV Flash Charge Edition

The flash charging edition of the Han EV comes with BYD’s ‘Dragon Face’ design philosophy with a wide and low-slung front, sharp LED headlights, and chrome accents resembling them, giving a premium and futuristic identity. On the sides, it features long and flowing body lines for smooth airflow, a coupe-like sloping roofline for better aerodynamics, and a strong shoulder line for the sporty stance.

The rear full-width LED light bar has modern signature lighting that creates a wide stance and makes the vehicle recognizable even from the back and features phoenix-wings styling tail lamps to add the premium touch. Available in five color options, which are Frost Gold, Pine Shadow Green, Far Peak Blue, White, and Black. Among them, the first two are more attractive color options.
