Top 5 Fast-Charging EVs in India 2026: IONIQ 5, EV6, BE 6 & More Compared

In the last five years, the Indian automobile market has seen the launch of many EVs from different national and international automakers are the claim of fast charging. Reportedly, car buyers in India are now preferably going with the electric vehicle, and a large hike in the same is seen in the past three months because of the Middle East conflict.

Choosing an EV over an ICE car is also pushed by various state governments in India with initiatives such as total exemption from the road tax and registration fee. Many drivers take a step back from opting for an EV because of range anxiety; to tackle the same, the automaker is now working to make EV charging fast.

India’s neighbour China is already way ahead in EV charging, and a few Chinese automakers have already introduced megawatt-level charging which charges the vehicle in under 10 minutes, adding hundreds of km of range. India does have few EVs that support fast charging in 25 minutes and under that.
