Geely Auto’s Geely Galaxy is all set to launch the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 7 (Starshine 7 / Starlight 7), a plug-in hybrid sedan, on May 22, 2026, in four variants. The pre-sale is already taking place from April 16, 2026, with the price from 112,800 to 142,800 yuan, which translates to 15,700 to 19,800 dollars.
The Xingyao 7 is all set to fill the gap left between Xingyao 6 and Xingyao 8. Expectations are that the launch price will be slightly lower than the one with which the pre-order is ongoing. Following its launch, the car will get through competition to its main competitor, the BYD Seal 06 DM-i.
It is built with the Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system; it features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-4 engine with a thermal efficiency of 47.26%. It comes with both single-motor RWD and double-motor AWD drivetrains.
The RWD’s power output is 222 kW and peak torque is 386 Nm; it takes only 7.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and the AWD generates the maximum power and peak torque of 312 kW and 526 Nm, respectively, and it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Both RWD and AWD are available with an LFP battery pack of 28.3 kWh; the pure-electric range for RWD is 230 km, but the same for AWD is only 220 km. Note: The top speed for the car with both drive types is 190 km/h.
Dimensionally, it is 4958 mm longer, 1915 mm wider, and 1505 mm taller. The wheelbase for RWD and AWD is 2845 mm and 2852 mm, respectively. It features five body color options that are Glass Blue, Lacquer Black, Meteorite Grey, Forged Silver, and Ding Kiln White.
Upfront, it features a vertical waterfall grille giving a premium luxury appearance and star ring lighting that includes slim LED DRLs and dual-lens headlamps that reflect the brand identity.
In profile, it gets a Fastback Coupe silhouette to give it a sportier stance, flush-type door handles to reduce drag and improve efficiency, and alloy wheels with the option of 18-inch and 19-inch to enhance the road grip.
At the back, the Rising Sun Through-Type Taillights are added to make its appearance wider; it has a hidden exhaust layout to give it a clean rear design like EVs and a wide shoulder that improves its visual stability.

It comes with three interior theme options that are Cloud White, Sandalwood Brown, and Sulo Grey. Comes with the seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3 and features a boot space that helps in carrying multiple big pieces of luggage.
It features the Flyme Auto 2.0 Smart Cockpit, which runs on the Flyme Auto 2.0 operating system with the integration of Meizu technology. The dashboard houses a 15.4-inch floating 2K infotainment system with a 16-speaker premium audio setup.
It comes with the three-spoke steering wheel, under which it gets a digital instrument cluster that shows all the driving data; and it also features 16.6-inch Windshield Head-Up Display, which projects the primary driving data on the windshield so the driver stays focused on the road and drives the car safely.
The other notable features are multi-color ambient light, a wireless phone charging pad, multiple USB ports, an H3 Intelligent Driving Solution that features high-speed NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), adaptive cruise control, lane centering, driver monitoring, and intelligent parking assistance.
The most recent China MIIT filing has revealed that the Geely Galaxy will soon launch an all-electric sedan, the Geely Galaxy TT EV. However, the carmaker is yet to reveal it officially, but there’s high speculation that they will launch it for the domestic market in the second half of 2026.
