Lynk & Co 20 EV Leaked via MIIT: 328 bhp FWD SUV Expected at 140,000 Yuan

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, People’s Republic of China, has recently released a new catalogue of vehicles that automakers have registered with the ministry with the intention of selling them in the country. Among them, one is also the Lynk & Co 20 that is based on its sibling, the Z20.

Lynk & Co, the joint venture of Geely and Volvo Cars, is all set to introduce the five-door all-electric Lynk & Co 20 in the domestic market. There’s no word about its launch from the carmaker, expected to happen in late 2026. Once launched, it will compete with the Tesla Model Y L and XPeng G6.

Reportedly, the Lynk & Co 20 will be positioned below the Lynk & Co 08 and Lynk & Co 09 and alongside the Lynk & Co Z10. As the newly revealed model is based on the existing Lynk & Co Z20, it is expected that it will be for sale in China with the price of ¥140,000 to ¥180,000 (₹19.75 lakh to ₹25.4 lakh).

Upfront, it features split headlights; modern-shaped DRLs are placed above and main headlights below that. A LiDAR unit is visible from the front on its roof, which reflects that it is equipped with the smart driving assistant. The front fascia gets a closed-off grille, giving it modern EV styling.

In profile, it features flush-type handles for entry and exit doors that reduce drag and help in improving efficiency; it also reflects its premiumness. The image we found in the MIIT filing clearly shows that it has 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels with the geometric silver and black rims.

The rear of the car gets full-width LED taillights, creating a wide stance; a sporty bumper adds ruggedness; and it also features an integrated camera that shows the live footage of area behind the vehicle while reversing. Notably, it is 4,495 mm long, 1,845 mm wider, and 1,573 mm higher. Its wheelbase is 2,755 mm, and ground clearance is set to be good enough that it can pass the potholes easily.

Compared to its closest sibling Z20, it is 35 mm longer, while the other dimensions remain the same. With the increase in size, the new model is expected to feature more legroom for rear-seating passengers. It comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in the layout of 2-3; behind the rear seat, it gets a trunk with ample space that helps in carrying big luggage.

As an electric vehicle, it gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) under the hood on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration that is mounted with the single-speed automatic gearbox, whose power output is 245 kW (328 bhp) and goes up to a top speed of 210 km.

Its battery packs are yet to be revealed, It is expected to offer two battery options for standard and long range, and are expected to be based on 800-volt electrical architecture. It will support an ultra-fast DC charger for quick charging at the station and an AC charger for home charging at nighttime.

Lynk & Co revealed the all-electric sedan Lynk & Co 10 on April 7, 2026, and then its pre-sale began on April 24, 2026, in three variants with a price range from 209,900 to 259,900 CNY (29.6 lakh to 37.7 lakh INR); its launch is also pending but likely in the first half of 2026. Following its launch, it will compete with the Xiaomi SU7 and the BYD Han EV.
