Leapmotor D99 Interior Revealed: 700 km EV Range & 1000V Architecture

The Leapmotor D99 is an upcoming luxury multi-purpose vehicle (minivan) from the Chinese automaker Leapmotor. It will be introduced with both all-electric and extended-range electric powertrain in the very near future. The carmaker revealed back in December 2025, marking the 10th anniversary of the brand. It is going to be the second vehicle in the company’s ‘D’ series.

On May 18, 2026, they officially released the interior, revealing all features inside the cabin. It comes with a seating capacity of 6 people in a layout of 2-2-3, meaning three rows; the first two rows have two seats, and the last one has 3. The second rows seats are captain seats, which come with separate armrests for better comfort of rear-seating passengers in the Denza D9, Toyota Alphard and Xpeng X9. Interestingly, the second-row seats are 90-degree and 180-degree rotational.

The 90-degree setup helps in facing sideways and enjoying scenic views, and 180 degrees helps in facing the first third-row seating passenger. It gets a fold-out table in the second row featuring a dining table, laptop workspace, meeting surface and gaming. Also features full-flat bed mode, meaning the front seats recline fully backward and second-row seats align with them to create a bed-like structure that helps in resting during the camping trip.

The second-row seats also feature zero-gravity mode, which reduces the back pressure, fatigue and hip strain. The third-row seat is electrically foldable, and it even comes with the fishing seat rear mode; basically, it features folding the third-row seat backward towards the tailgate so passengers can sit facing outward. The first row seats come with both ventilation and heating, and their row only has heating.

The interior is equivalent to a large touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard that acts as the control panel of the cabin, as all functions are touch-based. It also gets a liquid crystal digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel that shows primary driving data. It even comes with a HUD which shows navigation, alerts, and much more on the windscreen to ensure that the driver stays focused on driving.

There’s also a roof-mounted touchscreen for the rear seating passengers’ infotainment. In terms of dimensions, its length is 5280 mm, its width is 1995 mm and its height is 1900 mm. The wheelbase is 3110 mm. The distance between the front and rear wheel is similar to the Denza D9 and 50 mm more than the Xpeng X9; once launched, the D99 will compete with them. It comes with the Leapmotor’s signature design that includes pie-shaped alloy wheels and a split headlight setup.

Notably, it has DLP projection headlights and ISD interactive rear lighting. It gets dual-chamber closed air suspension and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) adaptive damping, which helps in adjusting ride height (ground clearance). Get Dual 8797 AD (assisted driving) chips whose computing power is 1280 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second), featuring urban and highway navigation autopilot and parking automation.

The EV is built on 1000V electrical architecture, but the EREV is 800V. The all-electric variant is equipped with a 115 kWh LFP battery pack whose CLTC range is 700 km. It comes with two motors, one on each axle; the front one’s power output is 180 kW (241 hp), and the rear’s is 230 kW (308 hp).

On the other hand, the EREV is offered with an 80.3 kWh battery pack, whose WLTC-range all-electric range is 352 km. It gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that acts as a generator to power the motor; it also comes with a double-motor setup like the EV. The front one generates the power of 100 kW (134 hp), and the rear generates 200 kW (268 hp).
