On July 17, 2026, Avatr, a premium intelligent electric vehicle brand from China and a subsidiary of Changan, started pre-sales in China for the Avatr 07L. They have introduced two different variants; the first one is Max+ with a price of 249,900 yuan (₹39.72 lakh), and the second is Ultra with 279,900 yuan (₹35.46 lakh).
They have officially confirmed that the market launch will take place on August 18, 2026. Notably, the launch price is set to be a little less than the amount with which the pre-sale is taking place. Following the launch of this electric sport utility vehicle, it will compete with the Tesla Model Y, Xiaomi YU7, Nio ES6, Zeekr 7X, Luxeed R7, and Onvo L60.
Available with 5 people seating capacity in a 2-3 layout with a boot space of 500 liters. The boot space is expandable up to 1,325 liters. It also has a 90-liter front trunk and a 60-liter underfloor storage compartment in the rear cargo area. Dimensionally, it is 4,910 mm longer, 1,980 mm wider, and 1,650 mm and 1,670 mm taller, depending on the variant.
Features a wheelbase of 2,990 mm, giving ample legroom for all occupants. Outside, it has slim C-shaped LED headlights with the closed front fascia to give a modern touch and improve aerodynamics. The front bumper has active air intakes that keep the electronics such as the motor and battery pack cool.
From the sides, the roof rails that help in mounting luggage and boxes on the roof are clearly visible; it enhances practicality. The handles for the door are kept flush-type to give a unique side profile view; it even reduces the aerodynamic drag, which results in improving the efficiency.
The rear boasts a full-width LED taillight, which creates a wide stance and gives clear visibility to other road users during the nighttime. On the edge on the back side, vertical-shaped reflectors are also available, which illuminate during the night; even if the rear lights are turned off, the vehicle is visible for other road users.

Like its standard wheelbase version, Avatr 07L, it may also be available for sale in the Chinese market with five exterior colors, including Andes Gray, Cotton White, Mineral Rock Black, Skylight Silk, and Damson Metallic; and three interior themes, which are Tinted Shadows, Glacier Caramel, and Full Caramel Luxe.
The Max+ has a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain, which delivers the power of 305 kW (409 hp) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Equipped with an 89.33 kWh LFP battery pack, whose CLTC range is 725 km.
On the other hand, the Ultra gets an induction motor in front and two permanent magnet synchronous motors with single-speed automatic transmission at the center. Its drivetrain is all-wheel-drive; combined power output is 712 kW (955 hp), and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 3.7 seconds. It is also equipped with an 89.33 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which runs up to 650 km.

Built on the 800-volt electric architecture. Notably, both variants support 5C charging, which takes 10 minutes to charge the battery pack from 10 to 80 percent. Its cabin has a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen at the center of the dashboard and a 35.4-inch panoramic “Star Ring” display on the base of the windshield that acts as a digital instrument cluster and shows all driving data.
Its front seat is electrically adjustable in 16 ways; it also supports heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Other notable features inside the cabin are a panoramic glass roof with a powered sunshade, two wireless phone charging pads, and two cup holders between the front seats.
