Avatr 07L Unveiled: Huawei-Powered Luxury Cabin For July Launch

Avatr Technology, the Chinese premium EV manufacturer backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has officially unveiled the 07L, mid-to-large luxury SUV, on June 29, 2026. It is a longer-wheelbase version of the 07, which the carmaker will introduce to the domestic market in July 2026 and start the pre-sale, and a month after that, the launch will happen, and then the delivery will begin within a few weeks of the launch.

They are yet to reveal the price. Reportedly, the 07L will be a little costlier than the 07, as the 07 is available for sale in the Chinese market with the price between 219,900 yuan and 289,900 yuan (₹30.60 lakh to ₹40.34 lakh), so we are expecting that the longer-wheelbase version will cost starting from 239,900 yuan (₹33.38 lakh). Following the launch, the 07L will face tough competition from XPeng G9, Li Auto L6, Zeekr 7X, Luxeed R7, and NIO ES6.

The Chinese automobile manufacturer is all set to introduce the 07L as a battery electric vehicle and also an extended-range electric vehicle. The BEV is set to be introduced with both a single motor on the rear axle featuring RWD and a triple motor, one on the front axle and two on the rear axle, featuring an AWD drivetrain. The transmission option for each is single-speed automatic.

The RWD variant generates the power of 305 kW (409 hp), but the AWD delivers 712 kW (955 hp), including a 201 kW (282 hp) front motor and two 251 kW (337 hp) motors. Equipped with an 87.301 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, when it is fully charged, the rear-wheel drive variant can run up to 625 km and the all-wheel drive up to 725 km under the CLTC conditions.

On the other hand, the EREV will feature a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine under the hood that acts as the generator, which delivers the power of 110 kW (148 hp). It will also be introduced with single-motor RWD and triple-motor AWD drivetrains, with the same single-speed automatic gearbox.

The RWD generates the power of 231 kW (310 hp), but the AWD delivers 531 kW (722 hp), including 131 kW (176 hp) in the front and two 200 kW (268 hp) rear motors. It is available with two LPF battery packs that are 39.05 kWh and 52.01 kWh; the RWD gets the small one, giving a pure-electric WLTC range of 197 km, and the AWD features the large one, which runs up to 270 km under the same condition.

The 07L’s length is 4910 mm, width is 1980 mm, height is 1650 mm or 1670 mm, depending on the variant, and wheelbase is 2990 mm. Compared to the standard wheelbase version, the upcoming version is 85 mm longer with 50 mm more distance between the axles and 30 mm to 50 mm taller, depending on the variant, and there’s no change in the width of the vehicle.

They will introduce the same seating capacity of 5 people in 2-3 layouts with the boot space better than ’07, as the length has increased. Even rear-seating passengers are going to get more legroom to sit comfortably even for long-distance travel. The center console has two wireless phone chargers and two cup holders for convenience.
