Volkswagen Anhui, a joint venture between Volkswagen Group and JAC Motors, has launched the Volkswagen ID. Unyx 07, an all-electric sedan, on May 23, 2026, in China in two variants that are Pure and Pure SE. Currently, they are available for sale with a limited-time promotion offer of 109,900 yuan (16,170 USD) and 119,900 yuan (17,640 USD), respectively; after the end offer, their price will increase by 20,000 yuan (2,850 USD).

Its exterior is based on wind-breaking design language. Upfront, it features U-shaped LED daylight running lights whose ends are integrated with the matrix LED headlamps, giving the modern lighting signature. On the hood, it gets illuminated with a golden Volkswagen logo reflecting brand identity. In profile, it features blackout wheel arches, window surrounds, outside rear-view mirrors, 19-inch large aero-optimized modern alloy wheels with a VW logo at the center, and flush-type door handles.

The rear comes with the full-width LED taillights with the illuminated Volkswagen logo at the center that not only creates a wide stance but also reflects the brand identity; the integrated spoiler and chromed bumper add sportiness. Dimensionally, it measures 4853 mm in length, 1852 mm in width, and 1566 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2826 mm, compared to the Tesla Model 3, the BYD Seal, and the Xiaomi SU7, it is shorter by 49 mm, 94 mm, and 174 mm, respectively.

Comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in a traditional layout of 2-3; all seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and front seats are also powered. Features a boot space of 711 liters, which expands cargo capacity to 1,580 liters. Gets two-spoke steering wheels with physical buttons, under which there’s a 10-inch digital instrument cluster showing all the driving data. It has a 15-inch 2K floating infotainment system at the center of the dashboard and a 12-inch 2K entertainment display before the front passenger seat.

Equipped with the 27-inch augmented reality head-up display that projects driving information on the windshield to ensure that drivers stay focused on the road and drive safely. The screens are powered by the Qualcomm 8676 chip, which features an AI-powered voice assistant with semantic voice recognition and a large-language-model-based interaction system and OTA (over-the-air) software updates.

Other features are a 1.6-square-meter panoramic glass roof with UV and heat protection to ensure the cabin temperature stays comfortable, 30-color ambient lighting that enhances mood during nighttime traveling, and a 12-speaker The HiFi audio system ensures a theater-like audio experience, dual-zone climate control for convenience, and memory parking and cross-level parking help with the vehicle parking itself autonomously.

It has an intelligent driving assistant with high-definition cameras, one millimeter-wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic radars, which features highway navigation autopilot. Notably, the Volkswagen Anhui will also introduce a variant with a LiDAR-based smart driving assistant supporting the urban/city navigation autopilot; the date for the launch isn’t confirmed, but reports say that the carmaker may introduce it by late 2026 with a slightly costlier price.

Get a single permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is mounted with the rear axle, featuring a rear-wheel drive drivetrain. Both variants use a single-speed automatic transmission. The offered lithium iron phosphate battery pack is 60 kWh, which runs up to 558 kilometers on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle condition. It generates the power of 170 kW, which makes the 0 to 100 kmph acceleration possible in under 8 seconds, and its maximum speed is 160 kmph.
