The updated Zeekr 9X, a flagship full-size luxury SUV from Zeekr, a subsidiary of Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely, will make its debut in the domestic market in the very near future. Spy shots of the test are floating on the internet; however, in the image shared online, this upcoming vehicle is highly camouflaged, but it confirms that its exterior is quite similar to the one already on sale.
Notably, it is already available for sale in China from September 29, 2025, with a seating capacity of 6 people in a 2-2-2 layout. The upcoming one is a 5-seater with a 2-3 layout, removing the third row and featuring a large boot space. The carmaker hasn’t confirmed any date for the launch of the updated 9X, but reports say it may happen by late 2026.
Reportedly, besides the seating layout and boot space increase, in all terms this vehicle remains the same. The dimensions are still 5,239 mm, 2,029 mm, 1,819 mm, and 3,169 mm in terms of length, width, height, and wheelbase, respectively. The boot space for a six-seater with their row folded is 2,148 liters, so it is highly expected that the 5-seater will have a bigger boot space.
Set to get a 1,974 cc 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine under the hood, whose power output is 279 hp. Equipped with two electric motors, one on each axle. The combined power output is set to be 660 kW (898 hp), and peak torque will be 935 Nm, which helps it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
An option of a triple-motor setup will also come; one is mounted on the front axle and two on the rear axle. The combined maximum power output will be 1,030 kW (1,401 hp), and peak torque is set to be 1,410 Nm, whose 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing is 3.1 seconds. The drivetrain is set to be all-wheel drive with a dedicated hybrid transmission for both double and triple motor variants.

Reportedly, under the floor, it will get a 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives a range of 300 km and 380 km, respectively, under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle condition. The standard one will be available with a double-motor setup, and a large one with a triple motor.
They are built on 900-volt electrical architecture supporting 6C fast charging, which enables 20 to 80 percent charging in just 9 minutes. Meaning the upcoming updated 9X will add 100 km and 133 km of CLTC range for double-motor and triple-motor variants with just 5 minutes of charging.
The six-seater Zeekr 9X is available for sale with the price ranging from 465,900 yuan to 599,900 yuan, which translates to ₹65.36 lakh to ₹84.17 lakh. The upcoming five-seater is expected to cost between 450,000 and 570,000 yuan (₹63.13 lakh to ₹79.97 lakh), a little more affordable; however, the actual price is still pending. They will reveal it at the launch event.
