Leapmotor B03X Orders Commence in Europe: 197 hp, 382 km Range and Level 2 ADAS

On July 6, 2026, Leapmotor, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, officially started accepting orders for the Leapmotor B03X, an all-electric compact crossover, with a price of €24,900 (₹25.2 lakh). Reports suggest that the carmaker will start delivery of this model most probably in late July 2026.

The length, width, and height of this electric car are 4,270 mm, 1,810 mm, and 1,635 mm, respectively, and its wheelbase measures 2,605 mm. It also comes with seating capacity of 5 people in traditional layout, 2 separate seats in the front row and 3 in a bench-like structure in the second row.

The carmaker has introduced two variants to the European market in two variants that are LIFE and DESIGN. Both come with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a single-speed automatic transmission, which is mounted on the front axle, featuring a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Its electric motor generates the maximum power of 197 hp and peak torque of 200 Nm; it takes 8.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and reach the maximum speed of 160 km/h. They are all set to introduce this vehicle with both 39.8 kWh and 53.0 kWh lithium-ion battery packs.

They have yet to reveal the battery pack configuration for the LIFE and DESIGN designs; there’s high speculation that the former one comes with the standard one, giving a WLTP range of 292 km, and the latter with the larger option, which runs up to 382 km under the same condition.

Reportedly, this electric car supports a 2.5c DC charger, which takes 16 minutes for 30 to 80 percent charging. With a charge of just 10 minutes, an additional 91 km and 119 km range for the trim with 39.8 kWh and 53.0 kWh LFP battery packs, respectively, is anticipated.

Upfront, it has a closed-off grille for better aerodynamics; LED headlights with integrated daylight running lights just below the hood, giving a modern appearance and better visibility for nighttime driving; and black bumper cladding for a minimalistic look.

On the sides, it features flush-type door handles to reduce drag and premiumness to the side view, blackout pillars to create a floating roof effect, conventional black ORVMs with integrated blinkers to get a clearer view of traffic behind, a round wheel arch that adds ruggedness, and roof rails to carry luggage.

At the back, it boasts an integrated roof spoiler for better airflow and a higher-mounted spotlight to indicate to the other road users that it is braking and LEAP MOTOR lettering on the tailgate for branding and black bumper cladding with side indicators in a horizontal shape to make the vehicle visible if parked outside the road with the light off.

Leapmotor B03X Rearview

Built on LEAP 3.5 dedicated EV architecture, whose front and rear suspension are independent and torsion beam, respectively. The front wheel features a ventilated disc brake, and the rear has a drum. Also has an electronic parking brake. For safety, it also features ABS, EBD, and ESC.

Inside, it has an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel showing all driving data and a 14.6-inch floating 2.5K HD touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard that runs on Leap OS 4.0 Plus, supporting over-the-air software updates and wireless multi-device connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other notable features are 345 liters of boot space behind the second row to carry luggage that can be expanded up to 1,400 liters; a 12-speaker sound system to ensure a better audio experience inside the cabin; a 1.02 m² panoramic roof to make the cabin airy; and Level 2 ADAS with 21 active safety functions to ensure smooth driving.
