Leapmotor A05s Official Interior Images Released; 510 km EV Debut Nears

The Leapmotor A05s is an upcoming compact pure-electric car, a sedan version of the existing Leapmotor A10. The Chinese automobile manufacturer will launch this model to the Chinese market in the very near future. Reportedly the launch of this electric car is anticipated in the second half of 2026. Currently, they have released the official image of the interior showing how the car looks from inside and what its cabin offers.

Interior & Features

The image that Leapmotor has shared online clearly shows that before the driving seat it has a two-spoke steering wheel under which there’s a slim digital instrument cluster, which will show all the driving data, including the following:

  • Speed
  • Battery charge level (State of Charge)
  • Remaining driving range
  • Power/energy flow
  • Energy consumption (Wh/km)
  • Regenerative braking indicator
  • Odometer and trip meter

The center of the dashboard shows a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system. Reports suggest that it supports over-the-air software updates, wireless multi-device connectivity, voice assistants, and multiple connected car technologies. Notably, it is anticipated to act as a center console, which will manage all cabin settings; however, they are yet to reveal what this screen controls.

Below the centrally mounted screen, it has vertical air conditioning vents to keep the occupants cool in summer and warm in winter. It is highly anticipated to be double-zone automatic. A wireless phone number pad and two cup holders are clearly visible between the front seats for the driver and co-passenger convenience.

Interior images also confirm that it is available with a seating capacity of four people in a 2-2 layout. The rear seat also has a rear center armrest and embroidered headrests.

Exterior & Design

Outside, it has integrated LED daylight running lights and main headlamps, giving the model a touch to the front fascia; a Leapmotor logo below the hood to reflect branding; side air curtains to enhance airflow; a closed-off grille to ensure better aerodynamics and improve efficiency; lower air intakes on the front bumper to keep the electronic parts cool; and a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor, indicating it is equipped with navigation and autopilot.

Other notable features on the exterior are flared wheel arches for styling; front-door-mounted double-toned outside rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers; flush-type door handles that reduce drag and add premiumness to the side view; smiley-face LED taillights on the edges that make the vehicle visible to other road users at night; a roof-integrated spoiler that reduces the drag; and a rear bumper-integrated horizontal-shape reflector.

Set to debut two different lithium-ion battery packs, which are 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh, giving a range of 405 km and 510 km, respectively, on the CLTC condition. Features a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission on the front axle, featuring a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.
