On July 22, 2026, Nissan, the Japanese automobile manufacturer, launched the Nissan LEAF NISMO, a high-performance version of the all-new third-generation Nissan LEAF electric crossover, in three variants: B5, B7, and B7 RECARO, with the prices of ¥6.601 million (₹39.08 lakh), ¥6.952 million (₹41.16 lakh), and ¥7.227 million (₹42.80 lakh), respectively.
The length is 4,415 mm, width is 1,810 mm, wheelbase is 2,690 mm, and ground clearance is 135 mm. The height is 1,550 mm for all but variants; the second one with the ProPILOT 2.0 model is 1,565 mm taller. Sit on 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/45 tires. The kerb weight of the B5, B7, and B7 RECARO variants is 1,820 kg, 1,920 kg, and 1,900 kg, respectively.
The power-to-weight ratio is 14.0 kg/kW for the first, 12.0 kg/kW for the second, and 11.9 kg/kW for the third one. They all are available as front-wheel-drive vehicles getting a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with a one-speed automatic gearbox. The B5 generates the power of 130 kW (174 hp) and torque of 345 Nm, and the B7 and B7 RECARO deliver 160 kW (215 hp) and 355 Nm.
The first one is equipped with the 52 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, whose WLTP range is 436 kilometers; it takes 8.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and the last two are available with the 75 kWh LFP battery pack, giving a WLTP range of 580 kilometers for the second and 560 km for the third, with an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h of 6.7 seconds. The top speed of all three variants is 160 km/h.
It comes with four driving modes: they are Standard, ECO, Sport, and Personal. Available with six exterior color options, including Stealth Gray, Brilliant White Pearl, and Super Black, and a double tone of each. Outside, it has L-shaped LED headlights integrating daylight running lights and main headlamps, a red accent strip on the bumper, a closed-off grille with the Renault logo, and lower air intakes at the front end of the vehicle.
On the sides, it has black wheel arch cladding, a front-door-mounted outside rear-view mirror with integrated blinkers, flush-type handles for the front door, C-pillar-integrated handles for the rear one, and ten-spoke aluminum wheels; and the rear boasts two parallel slim horizontal LED taillights on the edges, Nissan lettering on the tailgate, a bumper-hip-mounted spoiler, and a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna.
Inside, it has a full-width red accent strip across the dashboard and features a faux leather-wrapped steering wheel with red contrast stitching. The dashboard gets two 14.3-inch displays, a digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, and an infotainment system in the center. The centrally mounted touchscreen comes with Google built-in, which includes Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play.
The infotainment system also supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air software updates for the NissanConnect connected services, and an AI-based voice assistant. Other notable features inside the cabin are a dimming panoramic glass roof using PDLC technology to enhance premiumness and make the cabin air when it is open and multiple-color ambient lighting to enhance the nighttime driving mode.
The seat features suede and synthetic leather seat upholstery. Notably, front seats are heated and powered. Even the steering wheel is heated to keep the driver warm in winter. Also features the ProPILOT Assist driver assistance system to make the driving semi-autonomous and steering, a 360-degree camera to get a surround view, and an intelligent rear-view mirror to get a clearer view of the rear.
