On July 25, 2026, Chery, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, launched the Chery Fulwin A9 EV, a four-door fastback sedan, in three variants: 655 km Pro, 655 km Max, and 655 km Max LiDAR. The launch happened within three weeks after the start of the pre-sale. They haven’t confirmed any date for the delivery; we are expecting that the carmaker will start it in August 2026.
It is positioned above the Fulwin A9 PHEV and below the Fulwin T8 in the brand’s lineup. Its main rivals in the Chinese market are BYD Han EV, XPeng P7+, Geely Galaxy E8, Leapmotor B01, and Deepal SL03 EV.
Price
The carmaker has introduced the model with two different prices for each, which are official and trade-in; they are shared below.

Dimensions & Color Options
Dimensionally, it measures 4,836 mm in terms of length, 1,896 mm in width, and 1,489 mm in height. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axle, is 2,900 mm. Its aerodynamic drag coefficient is 0.223 Cd.
Its exterior is available in seven different color options: Begonia Red, Mountain Mist Purple, Cloud Pink Beige, Snowy White, Xuanwu Gray, Mingsha Jade Green, and Ink Stone Black. For the interior, there are two options, which are nightfall purple-black and misty purple-gray.
Motor Setup & Performance
Features a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain, whose maximum power output is 178 kW (239 hp) and peak torque is 275 Nm. Under the floor, it gets a 70.11 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, giving a CLTC range of 655 km.
It comes with an 800-volt high-voltage electrical architecture, which supports fast DC chargers. It takes 20 minutes for 30 to 80 percent charging.
Underpinning
It is built on the Chery E0X dedicated EV platform, whose front and rear suspension are double wishbone independent and five-link independent, respectively. The top-end variant is equipped with the CDC (Continuous Damping Control) electromagnetic dampers to ensure a comfortable driving experience on all types of terrains.
All wheels get ventilated discs to ensure powerful braking with better heat absorption to ensure safe braking. Also features an electronic parking brake, integrated brake controller, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, electronic stability control, and autonomous emergency braking.
Interior Features
Under the steering wheel, it has an 8.88-inch fully digital driver display, which shows all the driving-related information. The center of the dashboard features a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen infotainment system, which is integrated with the 23-speaker AI Boya premium sound system, whose output is 1,080 W featuring 7.1.4.2 3D surround sound.
Notably, the screen runs on the Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 operating system, getting powered by a chipset; for the standard variant, it is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, but for the top-end, it features the 3 nm Snapdragon 8678. Other notable features inside the cabin are wireless smartphone charging on the center console and powered front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions in top-end variants.
Exterior Design
Get slim LED headlights that integrate both daylight running lights and main headlamps, including high beams and low beams. Other notable features on the front end are side air curtains, lower active air intakes, and roof-mounted 6. In profile, it has front-door-mounted ORVMs, which are double-toned and electronically adjustable. Even handles of doors are flush-type to enhance aerodynamics.
Features included flared wheel arches, blacked-out pillars, and ten-spoke double-toned alloy wheels on the sides. The rear gets a roof-integrated windshield, a spoiler on the boot-hip to reduce turbulence, a full-width LED taillight that connects with taillamps on the edge, and a diffuser-style bumper with an integrated horizontal-shape reflector.
