Roewe, the automobile brand owned by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, is all set to unveil its range-extended electric SUV, the Roewe Jiayue 07, on August 13, 2026, after testing it on June 10, 2026, coinciding with its appearance in China’s MIIT 408th batch of new vehicle declarations.
They showcased the Roewe Jiayue 07 Concept at Auto China 2026 in April 2026; its production model is very similar to the concept but with a few changes and tweaks to make it ready for mass production.
The teaser image they shared online to build anticipation reveals that upfront, it gets full-width LED daylight running lights with 3,000 embossed star-like lighting elements and three headlamp units on the edges. Its bonnet gets ROEWE lettering to reflect the brand identity.
Features a closed-off grille to enhance aerodynamics and give a futuristic and high-tech look. There’s an active air intake below the number plate holder to keep the battery pack cool. Silver skid plate beneath the bumper to improve front-end appearance.
On the sides, it has multi-spoke alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches, semi-hidden door handles, and A-pillar-mounted ORVMs with integrated blinkers. The teaser image doesn’t show the rear view, but the sketch image shared on Instagram shows a full-width taillight, a higher-mounted braking light, and a roof-integrated spoiler.

They are all set to introduce the model in six different exterior color options, which are Dragon Crystal Purple, Agate Grey, Gemstone Blue, Zhenxi Black, Diamond White, and Jade Green. Its dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 4,900 mm, 1,910 mm, and 1,745 to 1,753 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase measures 2,908 mm.
Under the hood, it has a 1,498 cc 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol-powered internal combustion engine with the maximum power of 72 kW (97 hp) and a net power output of 70 kW (94 hp), which acts as a generator to power the electric motor when battery packs are depleted.
The internal combustion engine model is 15FMC, by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. It gets only one electric motor, but there’s no confirmation regarding its mounting place. We are anticipating it to be mounted on the rear axle and feature a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain.
The electric motor has a rated power of 60 kW (80 hp) but can deliver up to 162 kW (217 hp). Equipped with a lithium-ion battery pack, whose manufacturer is Nanjing Automobile Group and supplier is Jiangsu Zhengli New Energy Battery Technology.

The capacity of the battery pack is still pending; we are anticipating it to be 35-40 kWh, which is standard for the extended-range electric vehicle in China, and the pure-electric CLTC range may be around 250 kilometers; the combined one is anticipated to be above 1,000 kilometers with fuel economy of 5-6 km/L per 100 kilometers.
Set to debut with Momenta R7 World Model Intelligent Driving Assistance System, the latest-generation AI-powered advanced driver assistance system, which features navigation autopilot for both city driving and highway cruising, and also Intelligent Parking Assist and Parking-to-Parking Assistance.
It also comes with the ByteDance Volcano Engine Doubao AI Model 2.0, the next-generation large AI model from ByteDance, which works as an AI cockpit assistant and helps with powered scheduling, decision-making, and execution.
Features a spacious cabin with a five-person seating capacity in 2-3, providing ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room for all occupants. Inside, it will get a touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard acting as the control panel of the cabin and the fully digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel showing driving data.
