Li Auto, one of the Chinese carmakers, has finally announced the sale figures for August 2026. The announcement regarding the sale reveals that they have delivered a total of 37,679 units; compared to the previous month, the sale has increased by 7,211 units and by 9,150 from the same month of the previous year.
On a month-on-month and year-on-year basis, they have registered a growth of 23.67% and 32.07%, respectively. The model-wise sale figures will be made public by CPCA around September 10, 2026, and then we will get to know the actual number of sales (deliveries) for each model.
The cumulative number of deliveries in August 2026 for Li Auto vehicles has ended the previous three months’ year-on-year decline, but sales figures compared to the same of 2024 are still behind with a large margin.
Between January and August in 2026, a total of 261,619 units were delivered, with August 2026 sales being the second highest number delivered in 2026 after March’s 41,053.
In 2026, two months have recorded positive growth on a month-on-month basis, August being one of them. The sales decreased by 1,247, 6,968, 735, 2,455, and 427 in February, April, May, June, and July, respectively.
In March and August, the delivery increased by 14,632 and 7,211 units, respectively, on a month-on-month basis. The cumulative sales for the first eight months of 2026 compared to the previous year of the same timeline have decreased by 0.6% with 1,579 units.
In the first and second quarters of 2026, the sale figures were 95,142 with 27,668 in January, 26,421 in February, and 41,053 in March; and 98,330 with 34,085 in April, 33,350 in May, and 30,895 in June, respectively. Compared to Q1 2026, the sale in Q2 has increased by 3,188 units with growth quarter-on-quarter growth of 3.35%.
For Q3, they have aimed to deliver 95,000 to 100,000 vehicles; with July and August, they have reached the sale of 68,147, quite near to the aimed figure. To achieve the target, they need to deliver at least 26,853 or a maximum of 31,853 units in September.
The total delivered in the first half of 2026 is 193,472; compared to the first six months’ sales of 2025, the sales decreased by 10,466 units with a degrowth of 5.13%.
As of September 1, 2026, Li Auto is selling only six models in the Chinese market; three among them are available with extended-range electric vehicles: L6, L8, and L9, and three are pure electric: i6, i8, and MEGA. In July 2026, a total of 30,468 units left the store; the breakdown is tabulated below.

In July 2026, the best-selling model under the banner of Li Auto was the Li i6 with 15,420 sales and a 50.6% share, followed by the Li L8 and Li L9 with 6,210 and 4,158 units, respectively.
In the Li Auto portfolio, a new nameplate, Li i9, and a next-generation Li MEGA, will be added soon. The former one is scheduled for launch in mid-September 2026, and the latter on September 2, 2026. The most recently launched model is the next-generation Li L6; it is available for sale from July 16, 2026, in a single variant, Ultra, with the price of 249,800 yuan (37,170 USD).
