On September 2, 2026, Li Auto launched the second-generation Li Mega, a luxury all-electric MPV, in the Chinese market in a single variant, Home, whose price is 509,800 yuan (75,000 USD). The carmaker has launched the next-generation model after one and a half years debuting the nameplate.
The launch of the new-generation model has strengthened its positioning against the Xpeng X9, Volvo EM90, Zeekr 009, Voyah Dreamer EV, and Denza D9 EV. Let’s have a closer look.
Battery pack and charging.
This all-electric car gets a 108 kWh Ternary lithium battery pack, which is provided by the CATL. When the battery is fully charged, it can run up to 710 km on CLTC conditions with the energy efficiency of 15.2 kWh per 100 km. Its electrical architecture is 800-volt, and it supports a DC charger up to 530 kW, which adds a 500 km CLTC-range with just 10 minutes of charging.
Motor setup and performance.
On the front axle, it gets a 258 kW (346 hp) induction motor, and the rear axle has a 413 kW (554 hp) permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission. The combined power output of electric motors is 413 kW (554 hp), and peak torque is 657 Nm (485 lb-ft). Its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 4.9 seconds, and its top speed is 200 km/h.
Space and dimensions.
This luxury MPV has seven seats in a 2-2-3 layout. Its front row has two seats, one for co-passenger and driver with zero-gravity features. The second row has two zero-gravity caption chairs charging with 180-degree rotation for face-to-face seating. The third row has three bench-like seats.
Behind the third-row seats, it has a large boot space that can easily accommodate up to four 28-inch suitcases. Its dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 5,355 mm, 1,965 mm, and 1,850 mm, respectively, with a 3,300 mm wheelbase giving ample space for all occupants.
Features and technology.
Comes with a D-shaped two-spoke steering wheel and a 21-inch movable OLED 4K screen at the dashboard that integrates both the infotainment system and the co-passenger entertainment display. For the rear seating occupants, it has a 21-inch movable OLED 4K screen. These screens run on Dual Mahe M100 chips, which have 2,560 TOPS of computing power.
Behind the steering wheel, it doesn’t have any instrument cluster. Instead of that, it is equipped with a head-up display that projects driving-related information on the windshield. Its cabin has a 33-speaker sound system for an immersive sound system, and the second row has a 10-liter built-in refrigerator with both heating and cooling features.
The zero-gravity seats have 18-point heated hot-stone kneading massage, ventilation, and head function; they also are electronically adjustable. The third-row seats have heating features, and they also come with one-touch electric folding and unfolding and magic folding functionality.
Features that enhance its premiumness are a 396-LED “Home Light” ceiling lighting system, rear-wheel steering up to ±7° reducing turning radius to only 5.5 meters, an 800V active anti-roll system, a dual-chamber air suspension with a dual-valve CDC adaptive damper, and steer-by-wire.
