Lepas L6 EV is coming to Australia with a 440 km WLTP range with a 65 kWh LPF battery, supporting fast charging for 30-80% in 22 minutes, and getting equipped with a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Lepas, an automotive brand under Chery Group, is all set to showcase the Lepas L6 EV, mid-size electric SUV, at the Everything Electric Sydney 2026 event that will take place between September 18 and 20, 2026, at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, Australia; prior to that they carmaker have officially revealed the core specifications for it.
The carmaker is all set to launch this electric car in the Australia market in October 2026, revealing the price and pending details. Following the launch in Australia, it will compete with the MG S5 EV, BYD Atto 3, Geely EX5, and other mid-size SUVs. Australian-spec Lepas L6 EV key details revealed.
The Lepas is all set to launch the Lepas L6 EV with the front-wheel-drive drivetrain; it gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with the one-speed automatic transmission. The PMSM delivers the maximum power of 160 kW and peak torque of 275 Nm. Its top speed and acceleration timing for 0 to 100 kmph are still pending.
This electric car gets a 65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives a range of 440 km on WLTP conditions with the energy efficiency of 17.5 kWh and 100 km. Its DC charging output is still pending, but the brand has disclosed that it takes 22 minutes to charge the EV from 30 to 80 percent.
In China, this e-car is known as the Fulwin T7; their dimensions are identical. The length, width, and height are 4570 mm with a 2700 mm wheelbase, 1852 mm, and 1694 mm, respectively, giving its stance of mid-size SUV. Its cabin has 5 seats in a traditional 2-3 layout; the cargo capacity is still uncertain.
They also have disclosed some key exterior and interior features. It is now officially confirmed that it will get headlights for better visibility on the road at night, sit on 19-inch alloy wheels enhancing the road presence, feature a powered tailgate for easy access to the boot, and have a panoramic sunroof with the electric soundshade to maintain the cabin temperature and ensure premium comfort.
Behind the steering wheel, it has an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. A 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is placed at the dashboard that supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The centrally located screen also supports an intelligent voice assistant, and the same is integrated with an 8-speaker Sony sound system to give the cabin a feel of a mini theater.
Other features highlighted are the wireless phone charging pad at the center console that enhances the practicality of phone charging for the driver and co-passenger, leather upholstery that enhances seating comfort and gives a premium touch, and color-adjustable ambient lighting and puddle lights that improve the aesthetic of the cabin.
To ensure the safety of occupants during the collision, the cabin has seven airbags. Active safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a surround-view camera are present. Remote Parking Assist and Automatic Parking Assist-like features are also added to enhance parking practicality.

Under the banner of the Lepas brand, the Lepas L6 EV is set to become the first model that is arriving in the Australian market. The Chery Group’s other car brands such as Chery, Omada, and Jaecoo have already made their debut in Australia. This upcoming electric SUV is anticipated to be sold through the separate Lepas brand; further, they are planning to introduce more models under the banner Lepas, they are the Lepas L4 EV and Lepas L8 EV.
