On September 21, 2026, FAW Hongqi, a premium Chinese automobile brand owned by FAW Group, officially started the pre-sale for the Tiangong 07, a mid-to-large electric sedan, in a total of three variants. FAW Hongqi started taking pre-orders for Tiangong 07 with just an amount of 99 yuan (15 USD). By exercising the option of a presale, one may get some extra benefits, such as a purchase-tax subsidy, a trade-in benefit, a finance subsidy, and other ownership benefits. The brand hasn’t officially disclosed how much discount the buyers, who will exercise the pre-sale option, are actually going to get on the final purchase price.

This mid-to-large pure-electric sedan is based on 800V high-voltage architecture; the first two variants are available with a single-speed rear-wheel-drive drivetrain, and the one with double motors is all-wheel-drive. The power output and torque for RWD are 340 kW and 450 Nm, and the same for AWD are 340 kW and 770 Nm.
The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 kmph is 5.6 seconds, 5.8 seconds, and 3.5 seconds for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd variants, respectively. The first variant is equipped with a 75 kWh lithium-ion battery pack giving a 640 km CLTC range, and the second and third ones are equipped with an 85 kWh unit that delivers 730 km and 680 km, respectively.
The dimensions in terms of length, width, and height are 5,000 mm, 1,915 mm, and 1,490 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The cabin is equipped with the 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and 17.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system; they run on Lingxi Cockpit 6.0, getting power from Qualcomm 8397.
The infotainment system supports wireless connectivity via Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and ICCOA Carlink and integrates 18-speaker Bose and 7.1.4 panoramic sound to ensure an immersive audio experience. It also has Hongqi Sinan Intelligent Driving 5.0, an intelligent ADAS, with the 384-line dynamic-zoom LiDAR.
The cabin also has a 1.87 m² panoramic sunroof, and the passenger seats are 16-way electric adjustable; they also have heating, ventilation, and massage functions, enhancing seating comfort. Other notable features are the full-scene automated parking and cross-floor memory parking.

In the last eight months, between January and August, a total of 171,413 units have been sold out. The sales in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, and August 2026 were 31,638, 19,003, 24,594, 29,221, 20,757, 17,651, 17,515, and 11,034, respectively.
Last month, the sales decreased by 7.9%, with 1,221 fewer sales on the month-on-month basis, and by 60.7%, with 21,974 fewer sales on the year-on-year basis. The launch of Tiangong 07 will contribute to adding more sale numbers in the coming months.
