Nio Brings Formula E DNA to ET5 & EC6 With New Champion Edition

On June 15, 2026, Nio, a Chinese premium EV manufacturer, launched the Champion Edition for the Nio ET5, Nio ET5 Touring, and Nio EC6. The delivery of the same will begin on June 20, 2026. The first two are available for the price of 313,000 yuan (₹43.83 lakh), and the last one for 373,000 yuan (₹52.25 lakh).

They are also available for sale under the Battery as a service (BaaS) scheme, under which you have to pay a certain amount for the car and then a monthly charge for the battery. Notably, the BaaS price for the first two is 205,000 yuan (₹27.81 lakh), and the last one is 265,000 (₹37.12 lakh), and the monthly charge for the battery use is 1,128 yuan (₹15,800).

The carmaker also comes with some exciting offers, including moonlight silver color options at just 3,000 yuan, 7,000 yuan less than the standard price; they claim the buyer may also get a 3,279 yuan voucher for an exclusive body decal package. A 0 down payment financing plan is available for the Champion Edition on ET5 and ET5 models with a free HD digital rearview mirror upgrade for a limited time.

A 50% discount on options such as premium paint, upgraded wheels, or interior packages across all three models. NOP+ (Navigate on Pilot Plus) for five years is totally free. The EC6 Champion Edition is available with free zero-gravity seat upgrades, which usually cost 8,500 yuan.

Outside, it features a moon-themed body color, giving it a more premium and sporty look. Racing-green 4-piston brake calipers provide stronger braking and also make it visually striking. The Champion Edition badge reflects the vehicle’s identity, and five-spoke black wheels give it an aggressive and motorsport-inspired appearance.

Inside, it gets an exclusive black cabin. Theme-wise, giving it a sportier touch, an Alcantara-style suede steering wheel gives better grip, and microfiber seats feel comfortable and also give better body support. Champion Edition seat emblems reflect model exclusivity; embossed headrests add premiumness; racing green seat belts give the feel of a racing car; and racing green stitching on seats, steering wheel, and interior trim pieces gives the cabin more contrast.

The Nio ET5, Nio ET5 Touring, and Nio EC6 Champion Edition get an induction motor on the front axle and a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle, featuring an all-wheel-drive drivetrain. The rear, i.e., primary motor, is mated with a single-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power of 150 kW, and the front, i.e., secondary motor, generates the power output of 210 kW.

The combined power output of the front and rear motors is 360 kW (489 hp), and peak torque is 700 Nm. The first two modes take 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, but the last one takes only 4.4 seconds. The top speed for all models is 200 km/h, and they all are equipped with a 100 kWh NMC battery pack.
