Chery, the Chinese automobile manufacturer, is all set to start the pre-sale for the Chery Fulwin T7, a compact electric sport utility vehicle, in August 2026 for the domestic market. They have already introduced the model for the international market as Lepas L6. The actual date for the pre-order is still pending; reportedly, the carmaker will start it in the first week of the expected month.
As of now, there’s no confirmation regarding the pricing. We are expecting that the pre-sale for the model will start with a price between 120,000 yuan and 160,000 yuan, which translates to ₹17.07 lakh to ₹22.77 lakh. Within a month after the pre-sale start, the market launch will take place, and then a few days after that, the delivery will begin.
Following the launch, it is set to take on the Leapmotor B10, the Geely Galaxy E5, and the BYD Atto 3. Features a seating capacity of 5 people in 2-3 arrangements. Behind the second-row seats, it has spacious cargo space to carry luggage. Notably, the second-row seats are foldable, which extends the cargo capacity when folding the rear seats. Its dimensions are as follows:
- Length: 4,570 mm
- Width: 1,852 mm
- Height: 1,694 mm
The distance between the axles, the wheelbase, is 2,700 mm. For clarity, all three above-mentioned rivals have longer wheelbases. Notably, the Atto 3 is 20 mm longer, the B10 is 35 mm, and the E5 is 50 mm. Even though its wheelbase is slightly shorter than its rivals’, its cabin is quite spacious and gives ample legroom for all rear-seating passengers.
As an all-electric SUV, it gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle. The China MIIT filling catalogue release confirms that the e-motor delivers the power of 178 kW (239 hp). Since the e-motor is available under the hood, it features a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Reports suggest that this vehicle can reach a top speed of 190 km/h.
Equipped with the Rhino lithium-ion battery pack, whose capacity is still pending. Media reports confirm that when the battery pack is fully charged, it runs up to 600 kilometers on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle. Support DC charging; details regarding the maximum output are still undisclosed. But they have revealed that it takes 20 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging with maximum output.

They are yet to reveal the interior of the Chery Fulwin T7. Inside, it is expected to feature a three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons on it for control. The augmented reality head-up display is unlikely. We are anticipating that the center of the dashboard will feature a horizontally oriented touchscreen, which will act as an infotainment system supporting over-the-air software updates for connected car technology.
The centrally mounted screen is set to support built-in connectivity and wireless smartphone connectivity via Huawei HiCar and Carlink. An eight-speaker premium audio system is more likely to be integrated into the infotainment system to ensure good-quality audio inside the cabin. Other features that its cabin is expected to get are the following:
- Wireless phone charging pad,
- Two-zone automatic climate control,
- Multiple storage compartments,
- Ventilated and powered front seats,
- 360-degree camera and others.
The China MIIT filing has already revealed its exterior. Upfront it has slim LED headlights on the edges below the hood, which include both daylight running lights and high- and low-beams, side air curtains, and vertical lower air intakes.
On the sides, it gets wheel arches and lower body cladding; door handles are the mechanical type, and ORVMs are mounted on the front door. The rear boasts black bumper cladding, vertical side reflectors, a full-width LED taillight, a roof-mounted spoiler, and FULWIN lettering on the tailgate.
