Citroën eC3 X Previewed: ₹11L, 320 km Range, Late 2026 India Launch

On June 2, 2026, the French automobile manufacturer Citroën previewed the Citroën eC3 X with the release of an offline image, which reveals many details about its front end. Upfront, it features a split LED headlight setup; the daylight running lights are placed above and the headlamps just below that; it has a dual-tone bumper with fog lights at the corner; and it has a silver faux skid plate. The overall design is similar to its ICE counterpart, the Citroën C3 X.

The side and rear of the Citroën eC3 X are also anticipated to be similar to the one available for sale in India with the internal combustion engine. In profile, we may get flush-type door handles for better efficiency, black-out wheel arch cladding, blackened window surrounding, roof rails, chromed outside rear-view mirrors with integrated side indicators, and diamond-cut alloy wheels for bold road presence.

At the back, it may feature wraparound LED taillamps, a rugged bumper with black cladding at the lower part that integrates with the faux skid plate, an integrated spoiler, and a minimalist tailgate giving an uncluttered view. In terms of dimensions, the Citroën eC3 X is identical to the one available with a traditional powertrain, whose length is 4352 mm, width is 1765 mm, height is 1593 mm, wheelbase is 2651 mm, and ground clearance is 180 mm.

Set to be introduced with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2 and 3, meaning there will be 2 individual seats in the front row and 3 in the second row in a bench-like structure. Similar to the C3 X, it also features a boot space of 470 liters, which helps in carrying up to 3 big pieces of luggage easily. The interior may also be similar to its ICE sibling, which has a three-spoke steering wheel with a Citroën logo with physical buttons on it for shortcuts and controls.

On the dashboard, before the driver’s seat, it features a 7-inch TFT digital cluster showing all driving data and a 10.25-inch touchscreen at the center of the dashboard as an infotainment system that supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to stream video as well as Bluetooth to play songs. To enhance the infotainment experience, it gets a six-speaker sound system. The seats will feature leatherette upholstery with adjustable headrests.

The driver’s seat is height adjustable, and the cabin is equipped with USB ports for phone charging, AC on the dashboard for the front row, and rear AC vents for cooling all occupants. It also features powered windows and ORVMs for convenience. Other notable features are keyless entry, push-button start or stop, and cruise control, which helps in maintaining a constant speed without pressing the accelerator.

On the safety end, it may get six airbags, which save lives in case of collision; ABS with EBD, which prevents the wheels from locking and distributes the braking force to all wheels, ensuring safe braking; Hill Hold Assist, which keeps the car stable when it stops on an incline; TPMS, which gives an alert via the infotainment system when the tire pressure is significantly low; and others too.

Reportedly, its powertrain and performance are set to be the same as the Citroën eC3. Meaning, it will get a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle featuring an AWD drivetrain, which uses the single-speed automatic transmission. The motor generates a power of 56.2 bhp and a torque of 143 Nm, and it helps to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and its top speed is 108 km/h.

Expected to be equipped with a 29.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, whose ARAI-certified range is 320 km. Likely to support DC chargers up to 30 kW; with maximum output, they can charge the EV from 10 to 80 percent in 57 minutes. May get an onboard 3.3 kW AC charger, which takes 11 hours for full charging.

They haven’t yet revealed when they will introduce the Citroën eC3 X in the Indian market, but it is highly expected to be introduced by late 2026. It may be available with the starting ex-showroom price of 11 lakh; notably, the actual price will be revealed with the launch of the car.
