Fang Cheng Bao Teases 5.3m Tai 9: Off-Road SUV With 5-Min Charging

Build Your Dream’s subsidiary Fang Cheng Bao’s general manager, Xiong Tianbo, has revealed the upcoming all-electric sport utility vehicle Fang Cheng Bao Tai 9 by releasing two images on its Weibo account on June 29, 2026, which show the front-end and side view.

Upfront, it gets a slim LED DRL strip just below the hood, improving daytime visibility; vertical LED headlamps are placed on the bumper’s outer edges, providing high-beam and low-beam for better visibility on the road; a Fang Cheng Bao illuminated logo is at the center of the closed-off grille to reflect the brand identity; and it has a rugged bumper with air intakes and a skid plate.

On the sides, it gets squared-off wheel arch cladding, blackout pillars between the windows, roof rails alongside the roof, front door-mounted outside rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers, flush-type door handles to reduce drag and improve efficiency, heavy-duty alloy wheels with large off-road tires, and a running board for easy entry and exit.

The carmaker will soon reveal its rear view. Notably, it already has been spotted testing in China on public roads; the heavily camouflaged spy shots of the same hint that it will get a vertical-shaped tailgate. Things that are clearly visible are the side-opening tailgate, the roof-mounted spoiler above the windshield with the braking lights, the rugged bumper, and the minimalist tailgate.

It will make its debut as a five-seater in 2-5, and the option of six people seating in a 2-2-2 layout may also be available. The one with a seating capacity of 5 people will feature a large boot space; if a 6-seater is launched, it will have a small cargo capacity to carry luggage.

The cabin is expected to feature premium leather seat upholstery and soft-touch material trims on the dashboard and window. In the center of the dashboard, it will feature a large touchscreen infotainment system that will run smoothly, getting powered by a powerful chipset.

The infotainment system is all set to be integrated with a premium multi-speaker sound system that features wireless connectivity for video and audio streaming. It is also expected to support connected car technology, over-the-air software updates, and artificial intelligence-based voice assistants.
