Maextro, the ultra-luxury automobile brand created by Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group, has confirmed the date for the launch of the extended-range electric multi-purpose vehicles Maextro V800 and Maextro V680. They are all set to launch in the Chinese market on August 5, 2026, by organising an event, which will start at 2:30 pm Beijing Time (12:00 noon Indian Standard Time).
The pre-sale for them is taking place from June 25, 2026 with the price between 800,000 yuan to 1.2 million yuan (₹1.14 crore to ₹1.72 crore) for V800 and 650,000 yuan to 900,000 yuan (₹92.95 lakh to ₹1.29 crore) for V680. As per Richard Yu, executive of Huawei, after starting a presale within 23 days, they have received a total of 10,000 bookings; 80% of pre-orders belong to Maextro V800.
The launch price for both is expected to be slightly lower than the pre-sale amount. Following the launch, it will compete with the Toyota Alphard, the Lexus LM, and the Buick GL8 Century. As an extended-range electric vehicle, both the V800 and the V680 from Maextro get a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol-powered internal combustion engine, which acts as a generator to power the motors.
Its maximum power output is 127 kW (170 hp). It features two electric motors, one on the front and the other on the rear, which deliver the power of 160 kW (215 hp) and 230 kW (308 hp), respectively. The combined power output of both electric motors is 390 kW (523 hp). Notably, the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing and top speed for both the multipurpose vehicles are still pending.
Notably, the electric motor mounted on the front axle is secondary; the primary is the one which is available on the rear axle, and it is bolted with the single-speed automatic reduction gearbox. Since they come with two electric motors, their drivetrain is all-wheel-drive. They are equipped with a 63.2 kWh LFP battery pack under the floor, whose WLTC range on the full charge is 275 kilometres.

The V800 and V680 are the multi-purpose vehicles with a seating capacity of 7 people in a 2-2-3 layout. The dimensions in terms of length, width and height of the former one are 5,495 mm with a 3,430 mm wheelbase, 2,006 mm and 1,850 mm, respectively. The latter one’s width and height are the same, but its length is 5,320 mm with a wheelbase of 3,290 mm. The kerb weight ranges from 3,120 to 3,190 kg for the longer wheelbase version and the same for the standard one, which is 3,070 kg to 3,135 kg.
Both models are built on the Tuling Longxing dedicated platform using the full-domain Fusion Architecture 2.0 to ensure a comfortable driving experience with better stability. Reports suggest that it features active suspension, which adjusts suspension stiffness in real-time depending on the driving style and road condition and ensures a comfortable driving experience on all types of terrains.
They both have roof-mounted LiDAR featuring a new-generation omnidirectional stereo fusion perception system, which supports advanced autonomous driving architecture for both city driving and highway cruising. Behind the third-row seats, they have large boot space. One which has a longer wheelbase can accommodate more luggage than the standard one. The second- and third-row seats are foldable, doing so to extend the cargo capacity.
Their cabin is full of smart and high-tech features for the comfort and convenience of all occupants. The second-row seats are caption-type with zero-gravity. Inside, it has a built-in refrigerator with both cooling and heating features. Other notable features inside the cabin are premium upholstery, seats with ventilation, heating and massage functions, a large touchscreen infotainment system at the dashboard and also a ceiling-mounted screen for rear- seating passengers.
