Tata Tiago EV Facelift Launched - Longer Range & Lower Price From ₹6.99 Lakh

On May 28, 2026, Tata Motors launched the Tata Tiago EV Facelift in four variants that are Smart 19 kWh, Pure+ 19 kWh, Pure+ 24 kWh, and Creative+ 24 kWh. The ex-showroom prices are ₹6.99 lakh, ₹8.49 lakh, ₹9.49 lakh and ₹9.99 lakh, respectively. Interestingly, the price compared to the outgoing model standard variant is reduced by ₹1 lakh, while the top-end trim price is decreased by ₹1.15 lakh.

The newly introduced model is available for sale with the Battery-as-a-Service scheme, a model in which one can buy an EV without a battery but has to pay separately for battery usage, with the price of ₹4.69 lakh. Notably, the running cost is ₹2.6 per km. Let’s have a closer look at its powertrain and performance, exterior and design, and interior and features.

Comes with two LFP battery packs

The facelift of the Tata Tiago EV is available as a front-wheel-drive configuration, featuring a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle. The electric motor is mounted with the front wheel, which drives the car by getting power from the battery pack. The two lithium iron phosphate battery packs are 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh; with the standard battery pack, its power output is 62 hp and 110 Nm, but with the large one, it makes 75 hp and 114 Nm.

Most crucially, that buyers often see and compare before making a decision to buy an electric vehicle is range; if you opt for any variant that comes with the 19.2 kWh LFP battery pack, it is 226 km, and the large battery pack, i.e., 24 kWh, runs up to 285 km. They are MIDC-certified ranges claimed by the carmaker; the real-world range when the battery is at full charge is around 160-170 km for the standard and 205-215 km for the large battery pack.

The Indian automobile manufacturer has also revealed the 0-60 kmph acceleration timing; notably, with the large battery pack, it takes 5.7 seconds, but with the standard one, it increases up to 8 seconds. Reportedly, the maximum speed for all variants of the Tata Tiago EV Facelift is 120 km/h. The most important part, i.e., its charging speed, Tata Motors claims that now it can add a MIDC range of 100 km with the charge of just 18 minutes.

If you are planning to buy, the one thing you should know is that the maximum DC charger it can support is 30 kW for both battery packs, which takes 25-35 minutes to charge the vehicle from 10 per cent to 80 per cent. The EV comes with a standard 3.3 kWh AC charger, but the option of 7.2 kWh is also available with extra payment. Notably, the standard AC charger takes 7-9 hours, but with the option, the time is reduced to 4-5 hours.
