Mahindra Auto, one of the leading automobile manufacturers in India, is all set to introduce the updated Mahindra BE 6 with three upgrades, which are a triple-screen setup, a redesigned dashboard, and a new black-and-tan interior theme. The interior may also get other upgrades to enhance comfort and convenience for both driver and co-passenger.
As of now, the carmaker hasn’t confirmed any date for the launch of the revamped BE 6. Many reports are saying that Mahindra Auto will hold the Freedom_NU on August 15, 2026, and on the very same date they may launch it. It is still uncertain that it will come as a new variant and 2026 model year.
May Cost More
We are expecting the updated Mahindra BE 6 to come as the 2026 model year, continuing all the existing variants. They are likely to roll these upgrades to top-end variants and later to mid-range and base variants. There’s no update on ex-showroom price on upcoming trims; it is certain that they will introduce it with a little costlier price than the existing variants.

If existing variants of the BE 6 from Mahindra Auto are revamped, then the ex-showroom price may be between ₹24 lakh and ₹29 lakh. After getting reintroduced with upgrades and improvements, it will strengthen its positioning against the recently launched Tata Sierra EV, which also comes with a triple-screen setup and premium-like cabin in order to make it more appealing to buyers.
No Other Changes
Besides the interior features upgrades, the Mahindra BE 6 won’t see any other changes. Meaning, its dimensions and space, design and exterior, underpinning, powertrain, and all other terms are all set to remain the same as the outgoing model. Dimensionally, it is 4,371 mm longer, 1,907 mm wider, and 1,627 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,775 mm, and ground clearance is 207 mm.

Features 5 individuals are seated in a traditional 2-3 layout with boot space of 455 litres behind the second-row seats. Also have a 45-litre frunk (front storage trunk), which helps in carrying small items. Its turning circle diameter is 10 metres. Built on INGLO’s dedicated EV architecture featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain and 800-volt electrical architecture.
The front and rear suspension are MacPherson strut with frequency-selective dampers and five-link independent, respectively. Sit on 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/55 tyres and 19-inch aerodynamic alloys with 245/55 tyres, depending on the variant; the base-to-mid variants get standard wheels, and top-end are available with larger ones. All wheels get solid disc brakes to ensure strong braking.
Same Battery Packs
The updated BE 6 will be available for sale with the same 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium-ion battery packs, which give the ARAI-certified range of 557 km and 683 km. Notably, all variants are set to be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a single-speed automatic reduction gearbox on the rear axle to ensure better road grip.
With the standard and larger battery pack, the electric motor generates the maximum power of 170 kW (231 hp) and 210 kW (286 hp), respectively, and the peak power is 380 Nm. The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 6.7 seconds for the variant equipped with a large battery pack, and the top speed is 202 km/h for both variants.
The 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs support DC chargers up to 140 kW and 180 kW, respectively, which take 20 minutes for 20 to 80 per cent charging. Support AC chargers up to 11 kW; the variant with the standard battery pack takes 8.7 hours for full charging, and the time for the same charging percentage is 11.7 hours.
