Xiaomi YU7 GT Launched in China - 738 kW, 705 km Range at 389,900 Yuan

Xiaomi’s electric vehicle division, Xiaomi EV, has officially launched the Xiaomi YU7 GT at the ‘Human x Car x Home’ event on May 21, 2026, in the Chinese market, in two variants; the base one is available with the price of 389,900 yuan (55.17 lakh rupees), and the higher-spec one costs 429,900 yuan (60.83 lakh rupees). 

Notably, the additional ‘GT Sports Kit’ for the base variant was available with the price of 34,000 yuan (4.81 lakh rupees) but is now available at only 14,000 yuan (1.97 lakh rupees) as a promotional offer. Its main competitors in China are Nio ES8, Zeekr 001 FR and Tesla Model Y Performance.

The YU7 GT’s length, width and height are 5,015 mm, 2,007 mm and 1,597 mm, respectively; compared to the standard YU7, it is 16 mm longer and 11 mm wider but 11 mm shorter. The wheelbase for both is 3,000 mm. Features adaptive air suspension, its ride height can be adjusted from a minimum of 147 mm to ensure better aerodynamics to 222 mm to run on rough terrain easily.

Xiaomi YU7 GT Rearview

The front and rear track widths are 1,694 mm and 1,700 mm, respectively. Its turning radius is 11.4 metres, kerb weight is 2,460 kg, and drag coefficient is 0.245 Cd. Available with three wheel size options that are 19-inch, 20-inch, 21-inch, the front tyre size is 265/40, and the rear can be 295/35 or 295/40. 

Comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3 and features a boot space of 678 litres. Notably, the rear seats are foldable; doing so increases the cargo space. It expands up to 1,758 litres to carry big luggage. It also has a frunk (front trunk storage) of 141 litres that helps in carrying small items. Its approach angle is 17° and departure is 19°.

It is equipped with the Xiaomi Jiaolong Chassis Master Edition, which features dual-valve continuous damping control shock absorbers to adjust suspension stiffness in real time to adjust the ride comfort and closed dual-chamber air springs that help in adjusting ride height and giving better handling at high speed. 

Xiaomi YU7 GT Charging

The newly introduced YU7 GT features Xiaomi’s new HyperEngine V8s EVO electric motor technology, whose maximum speed is 28,000 rpm and efficiency is 98.38%. Notably, the car is equipped with two motors, one on each axle, featuring an all-wheel drive drivetrain. The front motor generates 288 kW, and the rear one produces 450 kW, and the combined power output is 738 kW.

The Xiaomi EV says that the YU7 GT takes only 2.92 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph, and the maximum speed it can reach is 300 kmph. Get a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium, whose range is 705 km under the CLTC condition. It is built on 897 volt SiC architecture supporting ultra-fast charging, it takes only 15 minutes to add a CLTC-range of 570 km.

It features track-ready carbon ceramic brakes; the front and rear braking is managed by 6-piston Akebono and 4-piston Akebono callipers, respectively. Interestingly, it is available with five exterior colour options that include Crimson Red, Volcanic Grey, Obsidian Black, Pearl White and Titanium, so the user may have options to make a choice.

Inside, the seats are premium material to ensure better comfort. Notably, it has 2.3 sqm of Alcantara upholstery, a massage function, a smart dimming panoramic sunroof to make the cabin airy and add premiumness, a 125-speaker Dolby Atmos system to ensure an immersive sound experience, active noise cancellation and multi-layer acoustic PVB glass to have a quiet experience.
