2027 Exeed ES to Launch on July 12 with Up to 1,685 km Range and 860 km EV Range

Exeed, a Chinese premium luxury automobile brand of Chery Automobile, has confirmed that they will launch the 2027 Exeed ES for the domestic market on July 12, 2026, as a battery electric vehicle and extended-range electric vehicle. The launch is happening exactly four weeks after the start of presale with the price of 189,900 yuan to 219,900 yuan (₹22.7 lakh to ₹26.3 lakh).

Reportedly, the sale price is all set to be slightly lower than the pre-sale amount. It is expected that they will launch this vehicle with a starting price of 169,800 yuan (₹23.8 lakh). Following the launch of this vehicle in China, it will compete with the Xiaomi SU7, the BYD Han L EV, and the Luxeed S7.

Dimensionally, it is 4,945 mm longer with a 3000 mm wheelbase and 1,978 mm wider. Notably, the height of a BEV is 1,480 mm, but the same for an EREV is 1,485 mm. They both come with a 5-person seating capacity in 2-3 layouts with ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room for occupants.

The vehicle is built on E0X architecture. Its EREV is based on 400-volt electrical architecture; it gets a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine under the hood with a thermal efficiency of 44.5%, which generates the maximum power of 154 hp and peak torque of 220 Nm.

They will launch the EREV with both single-motor rear-wheel drive and double-motor all-wheel drive drivetrains; notably, the rear motor of both is mated to a single-speed direct-drive transmission.

The RWD generates the power of 227 kW, and the AWD’s combined power output is 345 kW. Both are equipped with a 41.1 kWh LFP battery pack, but the RWD and AWD variants give the pure electric range of 255 km and 302 km, respectively, under CLTC conditions.

The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing for the rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants is 7.6 seconds and 4.9 seconds, respectively, and the maximum speed for the single-motor setup is 205 km/h, but for the double-motor, it is 190 km/h. Supports a DC charger up to 107 kW, which takes 17.5 minutes for 20 to 80 percent charging. The combined range for both is 1,685 km.

On the other hand, the BEV’s electrical architecture is 800 volts. It gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle with a single-speed automatic gearbox. As the electric motor is mounted on the rear axle, it features a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. The PMSM generates the maximum power and peak torque of 308 hp and 425 Nm.

Equipped with a 100 kWh ternary lithium battery pack under the floor, which gives the CLTC range up to 860 km with 12.4 kWh per 100 km. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 5.9 seconds, and its top speed is 200 km/h. Expected to support a DC charger up to 300 kW, which takes only 15 minutes of timing for 30 to 80 km/h charging.

The front and rear features continuous damping control adaptive suspension with double wishbone and five-link independent, respectively. All wheels get ventilated disc brakes and also features an electronic parking brake with auto hold. For safe braking, it also has ABS, EBD, ESC, and others.

Its dashboard is equipped with an 8.2-inch full-LCD digital instrument cluster and also features a Head-up Display (HUD) that projects all the driving data on the windshield and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen with a 23-speaker premium audio system. The central touchscreen also features OTA (over-the-air) software updates and Voice assistant with AI interaction.

Other notable features are a panoramic glass roof, 256-color ambient lighting to enhance the mood of occupants, the Eagle 700 intelligent driving system with 27 sensors to make driving stress-free, adjustable air conditioning vents, and an electrically adjustable, heated, and ventilated seat to ensure better comfort for all occupants.
