Lotus Eletre and Emeya 900 GOLD to Launch on August 31 With 905 HP

Lotus, the British automotive brand which is owned by Geely, has officially confirmed that they are going to launch the Eletre 900 GOLD, a high-performance electric SUV, and the Emeya 900 GOLD, a high-performance electric four-door GT, on August 31, 2026. The presale is already taking place from August 12, 2026, with the price of 928,000 yuan (138,070 USD) for the SUV and 918,000 yuan (136,580 USD) for the GT.

These prices are tentative; the brand will reveal the actual one with the launch. In terms of powertrain, they are the same. The SUV and GT both get one electric motor on each axle, whose combined maximum power output is 905 hp and peak torque is 985 Nm. The acceleration timing from dash to 100 km/h for the Eletre is 2.95 seconds, 0.17 second faster than the Emeya.

Since the electric motor is present on both axles, its drivetrain is all-wheel-drive. The top speed for the SUV is 265 kmph, but the same for the GT is 256 kmph. Notably, each electric motor on both models is mated with the two-speed automatic transmission to ensure both low-speed acceleration and high-speed performance. A 112 kWh LFP NMC battery pack is equipped beneath the floor, whose usable capacity is 109 kWh, and is present on the Eletre.

For the Emeya, the battery pack is 102 kWh, whose usable capacity is 99 kWh. The CLTC range for any of them isn’t in the public domain. The standard 900 variant of the SUV and GT can run up to 410 km WLTP and 485 km WLTP to 435 km WLTP, respectively, for the low-energy and high-energy configurations. As the GOLD trims are the performance version, the WLTP range for them is certain to be lower than the standard.

They both are built on 800-volt high-voltage architecture supporting DC chargers up to 420 kW for the SUV and up to 350 kW in the GT, which take 24 minutes for 10 to 80 per cent charging. A standing AC charger of 22 kW is set to come with the vehicle, which will take 6-7 hours to fully charge the car’s battery. They have adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled damping and an active anti-roll system to ensure a smooth driving experience.

It also features rear-wheel steering, which turns the wheel connected with the real axle opposite to the front slightly to reduce aerodynamic drag. They both are available with a seating capacity of 5 people; the GT may also be available with 4 seats with two individual seats in the second row. To ensure better aerodynamics, it has an active rear diffuser and an active dual-layer rear spoiler that is 280-mm-wide and up to 215 kg of downforce.

They sit on forged carbon-fibre inset wheels with the 10-piston carbon-ceramic brakes. Its cabin has a floating full-HD OLED touchscreen at the dashboard’s centre, a digital driver’s display under the steering wheel and a head-up display projecting driving data on the windscreen. All their seats are heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable. Multi-zone automatic climate control is also available to maintain the cabin temperature.

Other features that add premiumness to the cabin and also enhance the aesthetic for the driver are ambient lighting across the dashboard; wireless charging on the centre console; USB-C connectivity; KEF premium audio with up to a 23-speaker premium audio system and Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound; and connected-car services with the over-the-air software update.

The length, width and height are 5,103 mm (200.9 in), 2,019 mm (79.5 in), and 1,636 mm (64.4 in), respectively, with the wheelbase of 3,019 mm (118.9 in) for the Lotus Eletre 900 GOLD; but the Lotus Emeya 900 GOLD measures 5,139 mm (202.3 in) in length, 2,005 mm (78.9 in) in width, and 1,459 mm (57.4 in) in height, with a 3,069 mm (120.8 in) wheelbase.
