Voyah, the premium electric vehicle brand of Dongfeng, has announced that they are going to start the pre-sale for the Voyah Passion S on July 24, 2026, for the Chinese market. As of now, the price of the model is still pending. Reportedly, the carmaker is set to position it as a rival to the Xiaomi YU7, which is available for sale with the price of 253,500 to 329,900 yuan (₹36.09 lakh to ₹46.97 lakh), so we are expecting the Passion S to cost starting from 260,000 yuan (₹37.02 lakh).
The launch of the model will take place within a month after the pre-sale, and delivery will begin shortly after the market launch. They have already confirmed that the Voyah Passion S will be available for sale with single-motor rear-wheel-drive and double-motor all-wheel-drive drivetrains as a battery electric vehicle, not as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle or extended-range electric vehicle. Its other rivals are the Tesla Model Y, Zeekr 7X, Nio ES6, Onvo L60, Avatr 07, and Luxeed R7.
The RWD variant comes with a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear, and the AWD trim also gets an induction motor on the front axle. The electric motor available on the rear axle of each variant is mated with a single-speed automatic transmission. The variant equipped with a single motor generates the power of 175 kW (235 hp), and double-motor trims deliver the power of 475 kW (637 hp), including 175 kW (235 hp) from the front motor and 300 kW (402 hp) from the rear motor.
Reportedly, the model will be available for sale with two different lithium-ion batteries, which is expected to be 81.6 kWh and 98.1 kWh. The first option may be available with the rear-wheel-drive variant and the second with all-wheel drive. On the CLTC condition, the range is 630 km for the standard battery pack and 700 km for the larger one. Their electrical architecture is 800 volts. They will reveal the acceleration timing, top speed, and charging output and time with the launch of the model.
Dimensions of the Voyah Passion S in terms of length, width, and height are 5,050 mm, 1,998 mm, and 1,656 mm for RWD and 1,636 mm for AWD, respectively. Its wheelbase is 1,656 mm. Available with a seating capacity of 5 people in 2-3 layouts with ample boot space. They are equipped with 21-inch alloy wheels. Its front and rear tracks are 1,720 mm and 1,723 mm, respectively. The kerb weights for RWDs are 2,347 kg and 2,465 kg, and the AWD has 2,580 kg.
The cabin is available with three color options, which are Light Cloud Beige, Dawn Orange, and Moon Shadow Black. Features a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with the Voyah logo; behind the same, there’s a digital instrument cluster. Two touchscreen infotainment systems are available on the dashboard just above the center console, one for the driver and the other for the co-passenger. Below the screens, it has horizontal air conditioning vents for cooling and heating of the cabin in order to enhance comfort.
The center console has two wireless phone charging pads and two cup holders. Reports confirm that it also features an augmented reality head-up display, which projects the driving data on the windshield. The seat features premium leather upholstery, and dashboard trims are kept soft-touch to enhance premiumness. Other notable features are multi-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, multiple USB charging ports, and compartment storage to enhance practicality.
